NSG kitchen

Haha they are the only vegetable I don't really like. Unless of course they're IN something then I don't mind. And I like them when they're still in pods, raw. But removed and cooked, blech!

This this this. They smell like a fucking jock strap to, I only eat pods, mostly in salads, but if I have spare fresh ones for any reason, they make a pretty good snack.

best summer time snack are tomatoes with a slab of mozzarella, basil, balsamic vinegar, some olive oil, and a bit of cracked pepper. mmmmmmmm

Please Jamie, you should know me better bro. I love just about everything. In fact cooked peas and kalamatta olives are the only things I can think of right now that I prefer not to eat. And I don't know what it is about those olives, but I just cannot eat them. Worst gag reflex ever. Kinda funny.

Tomato + salt = $$$

I love when random shit I have in the fridge comes together for nomnomnom. Stew beef, cut up a little smaller, coated with olive oil, s&p. Carrots, mushrooms, onions and celery. Cooked in butter (duh!) -- sautee it all together. Serve over garlic couscous. So yum.

This!
I made an awesome omelette the other day with a bunch of fried onions&carrots and some left over Bolognese sauce. It was soooo good.

The thing that get's my day started, everyday:

I've said it a million times before but preparing it this way makes it better then sex.

I'm a mom, so quickish cooking works for me. Made delicious pot pie this evening. About an hour and a half from prep to eat.

First I diced chicken. Then I added chives, garlic, 1/2 shallots 1/2 white onion, salt/pepper/coriander and olive oil. I never measure, I just eye it.

Then I diced up carrots & celery, added that

Then bella mushrooms & asparagus

Added fresh parsley last, mixed it all together and sauteed until cooked.

In the mean time I'm heating Campbells cream of chicken soup (there are better alternatives but was feeling lazier than usual this week). Add that to ramekins.

Next comes delicious buttery Pillsbury biscuits -- however biscuits are quite easy to make on their own, it just depends on what flavor you're really going for with the crust part.

Thats the way to do it! I made a delicious meal tonight. A fuckin sexy chicken breast that I cooked perfectly with mashed potatoes and this taboule salad thing. I should've taken a picture, it was so good.

been doin a bit of raw paleo diet lately. the no grains part is pretty intense, so i still cheat that rule sometimes, but ive really been getting into the raw side of things. I use raw egg yolks in a ton of things now, if i could get my hands on unpasteurized dairy i would, and im starting to eat a lot more raw meat. Gunna make some tartare tonight, still deciding weather i want to make it from beef bison duck or lamb though, ill try to remember to post some pics. I make carpaccio at work all the time, haha i wish i had a slicer at home, you can do it with mallet but its not really the same.

I made leftover mashed potato balls tonight, they're so yummy. Albeit not very healthy, whatevs!

Take left over mashers, add extra ingredients if you're feelin' spiffy (bacon, cheese)...I added a block of cheddar in the middle of mine. Roll them in your hands, dip in a egg/milk mixture, and roll in panko crumbs. Do that twice. Fry in oil at med-high temp. If they cook in the oil too long the mashers will break through the panko outside. So hot and quick. Nomz.

grilled barbeque chicken, steamed asparagus and quinoa pilaf...didn't take pictures but it was all delicious

It's just so bloody hard to make an appetizing picture off of it.

All most all Dutch foods look like a plate of sick, boerenkool: solid sick, Erwtensoep: liquid sick.

So far on this page, 3/4 dutch NS'ers I know. Where's maxi?

ps thread needs more stroopwafel

I'm Dutch!

Croqeten (spp.?) and olliebolen (also not sure how to spell that) are my favourite dutch foods.

Been getting up to a little more than just cooking here?

Gato your karma is perfect right now.

Mom texted me to make dinner tonight, so I'm at the grocery store waiting to check out

egg noodles, cherry tomatoes, and other ingredients to make a creamy spicy tomato sauce.

Had some nice rosemary Ace bread too.

Mom calls me: she just left the grocery store with the exact same ingredients lol

Cool

Just made Rice Crispie squares. What an outrageous invention. The dude who came up with them was probably stoned
