NSers that go to school in Seattle

Whats it like? I'm thinking about applying to Seattle U because I like the whole idea of going out west and Seattle interests me. so if anyone goes to school in Washington or anywhere else they really like out west post a comment or quick review in this thread so I can apply to the real schools and stop wasting all my god damn time with these fucking applications.

Thanks NS all comments/bumps +K for sure

yeah Im looking into Oregon too, I defitnely wanna be able to ski as much as i can next year so a school closer to a resort would be nice but the schools in Seattle are right in the city so it looks like it would be a lot of fun for the night life

It's bad in any of the areas. All it does is rain in Washington.

But, Baker only allows 300 people on the mountain at a time, so the seasons passers get on it. Weekends are impossible.

I'd check out going to school in the mid-west. Or Oregon.

Snoqualmie is within an hour, stevens is a bit longer, crystal is 2 hours or a bit under.. and baker is maybe 3 hours? idk, I havent been there much. A lot of decent ski areas within a somewhat close proximity, and decent college rates for Stevens/Snoqualmie passes

If you want to move for Seattle, word. Seattle is a sick city. If you want to move for skiing? Lol.

if you can make the UW that would be better than seattle U, and its probably the top school in the state and has some of the top schools in the country such as their medical school

The schools are ok, UW is pretty overrated. If you know what you want I guess it is ok, but still...

Skiing is iffy at best, if you want skiing in your life go to CO or Utah.

im from seattle and i love it. awesome city with tons of stuff to do. nearest skiing is at snoqualmie which is 45 minutes, and stevens and crystal are each two hours and baker is 3. whistler and hood are only 4 too.

I go to UW Bothell, and I'm in the UW marching band so I'm on that campus a fair amount too. The skiing is okay, and you really cant go wrong with any of the areas. Seattle has a lot of other stuff besides skiing though so its not like you would be doomed if the snow isn't great. It rains here, so if you got beef with that go to cal.
