NSers on the UVM Freestyle Team

Yo im lookin at UVM fer college in two years and i was wonderin who is on the team and some info bout it...like whats the whole jist with it and what not...im a local Bolton Skier nd ive seen some UVM skizzers up there...info???
 
haha planning wayyy to early. but its cool that your interested. i dont ski and im not on uvm freeski team so i dk but i applied there and toured there. its a sick camous but its like 20 min to bolton valley and 45 ish to stowe. but its chill up there burlington is ill
 
Im looking to apply there too, and am also two years away. I know their ski club has like their own site and looks pretty legit like they have trips to jay peak and stowe every couple weeks from december to march. and they take trips to jackson hole over winter break then to chamoix france or w.e over spring break. looks sick.
 
yea uvm is pretty fun i am there right now. i dont know anybody on the freestyle team but i just came here this semester. i saw them shredding bolton the other day at some sorta comp.
 
Hey guys- SO basically the UVM freestyle Ski team (FST) is epic this year. We hookk it up. Right now we have 35 kids on the team and they throw down. We compete in slopestyle, halfpipe, and rail jams. We ski out of Stowe and run a van there 5 days a week that is totally free to our kids. There other sweet thing is the team pays for most comp entries. Basically if you are loking at UVM message me and we we'll try and figure out a way for you to come ride with team and check it out.
 
UVM is AWESOME. I don't go to school there but stay tuned to NS.com for an interview with Matt Cole, the Pres of the UVM ski and snowboard club. He's awesome and runs a great club.

that is aaaaaawesome. I want to go to UVM even more now, I'm still a junior though. Do you have to really throw down to get on the team or is it sorta relaxed?
 
i go to uvm and i am not on the team just because i am not really down with putting skiing and practice in the same sentence. if your down with that sort of thing though it should be good
 
it's mad chill. I don't know what krongos is talking about, because there isn't really a defined day of practice, it's go out ski and have fun with others on the team. Unfortunately I have been kind on the dl with this concussion thing
 
yah i was talking to some UVmers on the team whilst we skied yesterday and they said it was mad chill...it sounds sweet to and i dont think u HAVE to compete either...correct me if im wrong
 
that sounds so dope i wish i was older and heading to college cause that is really cool. As usual UVM holdin it down... also id really like to be there for their 4/20 party.
 
yo dawg 125 aint that much if ur workin...+ my parents will prolly pay fer my 3 mt. pass if i stay in VT...Teheh...the team sounds legit and fun shit
 
and 5 minutes from my little cabin in the middle of the woods far from anything also known as place to party if I go to VT. but that's still like 45 min. at least from UVM. and Castleton is so small.
 
castleton is closer to rutland than it is to burlington. its like a 45 min drive or so to btown. and castleton is tiny

ok does that $125 include a pass? because that would be a sweet deal if it did. im a senior and i sent in my early decision application and just waiting for a response. if i get in, thats where im going. both of my sisters go/went to UVM. such a sick campus and city. i wonder why my parents bought a summer house the next town north......
 
35 kids on the team? Wasn't it 49? Yeah, it definitely was. So some kids backed out? So there's technically 14 empty slots? So I could get one of those 14 slots? Come on Tess, you know you waaaant to. I can do rail grinds!
 
i decided not to because 1. tess is my baby mama 2. i have my own whip and like taking it to the mountain 3. will be filming Life & Times constantly

but its legit if u wana be up with that crew and get rides to the mtn

Dude, im sorry for the confusion, but this thread was from last year. We are still full.We just had SOOOO many applications. It became a numbers game. But come ski with us! You dont have to be on the team to ride with us. Plus that will let me and the other officers get to know you...
