NS'ers on STRAVA

I havent looked around much in the road or mountain bike threads, but I was just making this to see if any NS'ers are on strava, and use it regularly. If you are post them in this thread and see who does what.

I tried to get on Strava but something went wrong, didn't work out. Some error with signing up with facebook, but I'm on mapmyride as John36194775.

@john, same happened to me! You just have to switch something in your phone apps and allow fb to access strava.

Also inb4 asian_allen

Also I'm guilty of strava using too. If you don't strava, it didn't happen.

Hate this because you can't claim anything without it. Love this because you're a dark horse and get to wreck people on group rides who think their amazing because they have a few good times on it.

and then with your confidence from wrecking people on strava, you go do a race and get wrecked by 40 year old men in spandex. vicious cycle really

That's basically the scenario in my city to a tee. There's this 50 something year old guy named Sven and you'll rarely see him, but when you do it won't be for long. Then there's another guy in his 40's that rides a Fisher Rig, which is a singlespeed, and whenever he passes you he just yells out, "Gears!"...

Both of those guys, absolute ego destroyers. People like that make you faster though, so I don't mind having them around no matter how bad they make me feel about myself.

truer words have never been said before. I was biking home on a bike street doing 22mph and then out of nowhere this 40 year old guy on a winter fat tire bike passes me, I try to keep up with him but he was simply too fast. Congratulated him at the next red light for being the absolute fastest fat tire biker I've ever seen.

There's a dude here named Thor that wrecks every DH trail at our bikepark. Because his name's fuckin Thor that's why, of course he's a beast right? lol..

Are you at spirit?

Also what is strava?

I use Strava whilst driving around in my car, constantly beating other people's runs and posting times as if I were a Kenyan running at Kenyan speeds.

anyone from SLC got a strava? compare times on ghost dh at corner canyon in draper?? and maple hollow dh?

I faster than you.

What's the DH like in Draper? Are you talking about the segment "Jacob's Ladder DH (upper)"?

I've never tried but, I'll give it a go this weekend. Out of 2000 some people on Bobsled I've made the top 1% of fastest times so I'd like to think I can be competitive.

yeah, jacobs ladder is a really fun one. check that out. go right instead of left at the bottom of it for faster and flowier rather than switchback.

ive done bobsled just a couple times, probably not too high up the ranks there.
