NSers at University of Michigan?

Hey guys I made this thread to see how the newschoolers and skiing situation is a UofM. I recently got my acceptance letter and I'm really stoked, I love the campus, school, and the top notch education. The one worry that I have is the possibility of not being able to ski much for the next 4 years. Are there any NSers that are current students? and if so it would be appreciated if you could share your experiences with the skiing side of things. Thanks guys

Dont listen to this guy lol, uofmichigan's a great school. Congrats on getting in!

haha my little brother actually goes to U of Michigan. But im at MSU. I can tell you that MSU is way more fun and way less work.

GO GREEN!!!!

I heard the won a bowl of roses or some shit.

But states ski team is a shit ton more fun, not that I went to either school. If you're going to 'ski team' in college state n central n gvsu have the most fun teams. UofM actually ski

yeah I agree, im on the ski team and in the ski club at MSU. I don't actually race, i just ski park, and the only reason I do it is so i can go up north, ski, and get drunk every weekend in the winter at cool rental houses.

Word thanks for the replies guys, I also just got news of being accepted to the honors college so it looks like that's where I'm most likely going.

Mt brighton is close to campus, is in on the epic pass (free trips to CO), and has a kickass park. If you get some fresh snow, like this year, there are a couple steep 40 degree plus runs on the backside that can be really fun too. You wont have the best skiing out but there is definitely skiing to be had around ann arbor.

First off, congrats on getting into the best school there is!

I sold a pair of skis to a kid at U of M and Brighton is pretty good this year (for southern Michigan). I will likely be living in Ann Arbor next year for grad school.

U of M in the warm months = every girl laying out in their front yards/roofs in bikinis. Makes the non-skiable months a little better.

yo im gonna be a sophomore next year at UM, if i have to tell you anything its join MSC the michigan snowboard club, not the ski club, msc throws sick parties and we set up rails and shit in the arb and go to rail jams and have a sick as fuck MLK weekend trip up at searchmont

otherwise there are some good urban features all over campus to hit if you have the time for that

i havent gone to brighton yet but i heard its really good

if you got any other questions just hit me up
