This picture has been flying around Facebook lately and it re-sparked my interest in the MBTI personality typing.

I've actually been hung up on MBTI for a long time, trying to use it as a tool to help me pick a major. Stuck between ISFP, INFP, or possibly ENFP but I'm not so sure I'm extroverted.

Myers Briggs in a whole nother animal once you get past the little online tests and start looking at functions, though.
 
ENFP is the most introverted of the extroverts. They enjoy being around people and going to parties, ect. However, they do need time after that to recharge and have their alone time. It's common to be stuck between INFP and ENFP when self typing.

For a long time I had the hardest time figuring out if I was INFP or ENFP while self typing. I was then "professionally" typed by my psychiatrist after I asked him to please please test me. Turns out I'm an ENFP.
 
ISFJ

I just took this in my management class and I was thinking about searching for this but my job is already done! I think this stuff is pretty interesting.
 
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is overwhelmingly unscientific, and it's often criticized for this. Criticism ranges from the pragmatic fact that neither Jung nor Myers and Briggs ever employed scientific studies to develop or test these concepts, relying instead on their own observations, anecdotes, and intuitions; all the way to charges that your MBTI score is hardly more meaningful than your zodiac sign.

Major in what you want to major in, not what a personality test tells you.
 
It's because I was going to go into engineering but when I started taking the classes I realized "oh, I'd hate doing this for a job"

So I was kind of using it to help figure out what I might be good at, and what careers fit what I like to do. If that makes sense.

aw yeah, so apparently I'm REALLY extroverted, and that explanation is spot on:

As an ESFP, your primary mode of living is focused externally, where you take things in via your five senses in a literal, concrete fashion. Your secondary mode is internal, where you deal with things according to how you feel about them, or how they fit with your personal value system.

ESFPs live in the world of people possibilities. They love people and new experiences. They are lively and fun, and enjoy being the center of attention. They live in the here-and-now, and relish excitement and drama in their lives.

ESFPs have very strong inter-personal skills, and may find themselves in the role of the peacemaker frequently. Since they make decisions by using their personal values, they are usually very sympathetic and concerned for other people's well-being. They're usually quite generous and warm. They are very observant about other people, and seem to sense what is wrong with someone before others might, responding warmly with a solution to a practical need. ESFPs have a very well-developed appreciation for aesthetic beauty, and an excellent sense of space and function. If they have the means, they're likely to have to have many beautiful possessions, and an artfully furnished home. In general, they take great pleasure in objects of aesthetic beauty. They're likely to have a strong appreciation for the finer things in life, such as good food and good wine.

The ESFP is a great team player. He or she is not likely to create any problems or fuss, and is likely to create the most fun environment possible for getting the task done. ESFPs will do best in careers in which they are able to use their excellent people skills, along with their abilities to meld ideas into structured formats. Since they are fast-paced individuals who like new experiences, they should choose careers which offer or require a lot of diversity, as well as people skills.

ESFPs usually like to feel strongly bonded with other people, and have a connection with animals and small children that is not found in most other types. They're likely to have a strong appreciation for the beauties of nature as well.

The ESFP has a tremendous love for life, and knows how to have fun. They like to bring others along on their fun-rides, and are typically a lot of fun to be with. They're flexible, adaptable, genuinely interested in people, and usually kind-hearted. They have a special ability to get a lot of fun out of life, but they need to watch out for the pitfalls associated with living entirely in the moment.

 
Interesting, I'm an ENTP and always identified most with Sirius black.

Probscause I'm black though. On a side note, there is adosproportionately high number of us (ENTP) on here. Wonder if it is something about either the change that is so common in skiing, or the argumentative nature of newschoolers.

Yo so, I just retook this and got INFJ again. So I'm looking around the website and came across descriptions of each one and in the INFJ description there's a title that says "Help me, help you" and I literally just made a thread in Ski Gabber titled "help us, help you." and I'm like holy shit this is so fucking weird and accurate haha. Anyways, that's my story for today. Thanks for the bump lol.

I typically just about fall on the introverted side, but it's normally something like 53/47. Really it all depends how I feel at the time.

A friend of mine took and didn't like the answer. For me it was spot on, kind of scary even so, never read so much about my personality. Never thought there was a label for my type of personality.
