NS what are your favourite skis? What do you recommend?

I have a pair of Head Caddies and some Lib Tech pow skis of unknown model and vintage. Both pairs are totally worn out.

I don't know when I'll be able to get new gear but I'm looking to get some more ideas floating around.

I'm looking for a park/all mountain ski and a freestyle oriented big mountain ski that I will be using for touring and resort skiing on deeper days. Also looking to get some carving skis to use for instructing, CSIA levelling up and carving when it's too icy for anything else.

Hoping to have this quiver for at least a couple seasons and they could be going anywhere in the world.

I'm not too picky about equipment- I've been pretty happy with any ski I've used once I got the feel of them.

I'm 6'1", 190 lbs. I generally ski anywhere from 70-150 days a year and I ski everything, the more diverse terrain the better. I like to go fast and want to go faster, but I'm more of a playful jibby skier at heart. My favourite terrain is pillows, small-medium drops and trees.

Prefer skis around 185+ cm for park, 185-190+ for big mountain. I haven't owned directional skis in years so I really have no idea what to look for in that department.

I'm intrigued by the Icelantic Nomad 95 for a park/all mountain ski and the RMU YLE 116 for a big mountain/powder/touring ski.

Also the ON3P Jeffery/Kartel series.

My overall favorite ski ever was the 08 Volkl Karmas, mostly because they lasted twice as long as any other ski I've used. They were my only ski for several years.

Anyway let me know what your favourite skis are and why. Any year, I want to know about 'em. Thanks!

I've had stupid amounts of fun this season on volkl revolt 121's. Easy to whip around and mad stable for the amount of rocker. Might be my favorite pair of skis ever actually. I'm about your size/weight and I ski a 194.

I just rode my Jeffery 96s for the first time yesterday and must say that they are my favorite ski now. Super stable, responsive and poppy. Highly recommended.

the new pb&j is an awesome ski, go test it

facts.

J skis All play is also a good option if you want something really soft. They work fairly well for all mountain, I take them everywhere.

really blown away by the Woodsman 116s, trying really hard not to ski them everyday but its difficult, such a fun ski to take anywhere. my favorite pow/everything ski currently along with the kartel 108s for just cruising and jibbing

Tell me more please.

I have never ridden any previous versions of the PB&J so i cannot speak about those. I have just got the new ones and rode them a couple of times last week. I found them super easy to make quick fast turns and big GS turns too, they pivot super easy. No problem at all flat out, they are nice and stiff and feel really solid underfoot at high speed. Not sure how well they will hold up in deep deep but i would guess in moderate pow they would be absolutely fine. I also bought the new deathwish which i have not had chance to ride as yet but if they are good as i am told them my quiver may be pretty good for what you are looking for too. I would really try and demo both these skis if you get chance.......

good luck !!!
