Hey, anyone that wants a NW U.S. party, leave a message with where you guys want it. so far there's a few places i'm brainstorming. Park City or The Canyons Utah, Mt. Hood Oregon, Copper Mountain Colorado or Mammoth? What works for everyone.

ok, here's some more details. it'll be around end of season, maybe march or april or may sometime. and i'm working on a deal with united, delta and southwest to see if they'll give people a NewSchoolers ticket. but the only thing is, there's got to be a good number of people that want to fly out to wherever we hold the party for the low ticket price to work. so, i'll wander around to all your states parties to see if there are people interested in a big end of season party.

And i still need to know whether people want it at mammoth or copper or hood. so, keep spreading the word and leave a note on here so i know where everyone is interested in.

wow that would be awsome to get cheap tickets!!! i know most of the washington people would go if it were at hood, since it isn't that much of a drive. thats amazing that you would be able to get cheap tickets. how many people do you need to come to this. it might be even better if you could get the resort to give us some lift ticket hook ups.

well, i'm going to see how the other parties go, how many attend blah blah blah. then i'll see what kind of pricing, how many people need to go to get the pricing, what the resort can do for us (a park dedicated cat, snowmobiles, close the park to the pupblic for the 2 day session) and all that good stuff.

hey if u want it to go off you need to do it in mammoth or breck because of there parks.

You might be able to work something out with june mountain that place will be sick this year and they might close off an area or something for you since its never real busy.

They wont do that at mammoth.

just a thought.

 
ya. i'm pushing a mini superpark idea, all you guys would have a say in what terrain features are there, but i'm not sure how they would take that...

the smaller the resort, the easier it would be to get cooperation. thanks for all the info, keep it coming.

come to snoqualmie then!!! its 4 ski areas that they made into one. they are all connected, but one. they have 2 parks. both almost top to bottom. this year they will be top to bottom. the would probably close one for us. maybe. gunny gunderson is in charge this year so its gonna be sweet

i cast one more vote for tahoe, and if not there, then mammoth... tahoe is 100 times more accsessable to people coming from other places too...

tahoe is accesable because you can fly into reno but mammoth is only like 3 hours from reno.

If its a small resort they nedd to build some big hits like you get at mammoth or tahoe or breck.

have it at hood. it is in the middle between the peeps in cali and in washington. And all the kiddies in oregon could go.

Whistler is kinda in the corner away from everyone. But id say either mammoth or the snoqualmie idea is pretty good cause a lot of people already have mad connections up there and its small and people could stay in North Bend if not on Snoqualmie. Its definately worth it cause they do have 2 parks and Alpental has some pretty dope lines and places for bc kickers. They might be willing to give a decent discount or have somthing special for us if we get enough people to go cause they do already hold ams comps so they could definately use the publicity.

 
definitely do it at a place where the park is going to be small enough for amateur riders yet big enough for kids that have their skills dialed to have fun too...not everyone here on NS.com can throw rodeos and misty flips, so we should have it at some place where all the skiers who need to practice and aren't as good can be comfortable and still have fun, instead of having to get the shit scared out of them and possibly injure themselves by trying to go to big and they cant handle it...but we also need to have big enough kickers so people that are better can still go big without having to worry about shitty jumps. my vote- breck...they have small jumps as well as some bigger jumps, and by the time the spring rolls around, their snow will be nice becuase it will be getting warmer out. besides, CO has been getting pounded like crazy this year, they're gonna have TONS of snow by the time this event takes place....so definitely BRECK!
