Ns video player not working

i always come on to ns to kill time and watch skiing videos but for the past week or so all i get is a never ending loading circle of doom.

this is pissing me off i tried updating java, restarting my computer, and all that jazz.

anyone have this problem and find a solution?

i use chrome btw
 
I have the same exact problem. Its on Chrome's end. I have to copy and paste the link into a different browser when ever I wanna watch a video. I assumed it was my flash player but It says I have the most up to date version... not sure whats going on.
 
Very strange! This is happening 100% of the time? What operating system are you guys using? Latest version of chrome I'm assuming?

Yup. 100% of the time. Only the NS video player. Vimeo and Youtube videos work fine. Im running OS X 10.9.2 and Im assuming the latest version of chrome... I dont even know to be honest though.
 
Can you give me a link to a page where you are experiencing this?

Do you have an ad blocker enabled?

i cant watch this or even videos from vimeo or youtube on chrome if they're posted in the videos sections, they work fine in threads. I have a nice mini-tower that runs 3d cad modelling programs wonderfully. i can watch that on firefox but im always to stoned to want to switch back and forth

What country are you in?

So they only don't work on Chrome? Do you have adblock installed?

us of a. only doesnt work on chrome and i dont have adblock
 
i go tit to work i think it was because i had an extension called Disconnect on which stops my browsing info from being gathered and sold enabled. it works fine while it's off

I have that same extension. Ill have to give it a try with it off.

Does it also not work for you with the extension on? Could be something to do with cookies. The same thing that ad networks use to target users is what we use for certain site settings.

Good lead, looking into it.

No problem. Its not that big of a deal. I just copy and paste the link into safari if I wanna watch it. Just an inconvenience if anything.

Yeah but we don't want you to have an inconvenience! The only thing is we know that there's bugs in this version of the player, and we're starting the process of retiring it tomorrow, so it'll be quicker to just wait for that to fix it vs. fighting with it now.

Can't give you a timeframe, but once we get the new one out we'll certainly check in and see if its working.

New player is being beta tested right now. I'll PM you a link to see if this fixes your issue. Its still buggy in a lot of other areas, but should be pretty stable within a week or two.

Looks like the new player solved this issue. If anyone else is having it, I'lll invite you to the private beta.
