NS: Sway another contest!!! matt cassell for PRO BOWL

cassel deserves to be in the probowl after carrying the team all year. he's never the reason we lose, he always plays well and someone else fucks it up

Hahaha, if he got voted to the pro bowl, they'd have to vote for his whole supporting cast too, considering THEY are the ones carrying the team.

i am in,

cassel has deserved it for his development. i mean, noone gave him anything when brady got injured. and now hes putting down drives like the winning one against the seahawks, with 3/4 3rd down conv.

3 qbs from each conf are in, right? well then you gotta show me who it should be if not him

Ns doesnt have the power to sway this contest. Millions of votes are cast, not a couple thousand. Also Matt Cassel doesnt belong in the pro bowl.

No way does he deserve it..theres countless qb's that out performed him this year. True he did carry the patriots loss of brady but that doesnt mean he deserves pro bowl..I know im gonna get bitched at but its all about that Jay Cutler

did you? he sucked because our o line was terrible and people were dropping balls faster than braylon edwards all game.

Jay Cutler has thrown about 2 interceptions a game. He is one of the biggest reasons the Broncos are going no where.

you are so fucking stupid it is unbelievable

do you know how big of shoes you have to fill when your tom brady's backup? and to do this well, and improve this much is quite remarkable. the ravens and titans win off defense and tough playing, not off qb play. favre sucks period, pennington cant throw farther than 30 yds in the air. both jets and dolphins win off D and running. manning deserves to be in, though hes having a bad year, hes just that good. roethlisberger has 14 td, 12 int. im sorry, but with a rating of 80.1 and on a team as good as the steelers, thats not gonna cut it. cutler deserves to be there, hes pretty good.

and its 4 qbs, not 3, i believe

fuck you, he does deserve it. I mean honestly think about it. He never started in a game since high school. That was years ago, and then Brady gets injured and he takes the bull by the the horns. He has done a decent job for being so inexperienced with actual play time. If you compare the way he is playing now to the way he did way back in the pre season, he has evolved. I mean come on the Pats were considering letting him go and picking up Gutierrez. I think every Patriots fan is glad they didn't. As far as the playoffs is concerned, they still have a good shot, so thats enough of that.

ben also has won more games in his first 5 seasons than brady, marino and montanna. he has the most wins in his first 5 seasons of any qb of all time.

1. neither me or you is knowing, how many of those spend their time on ns, while acting as some stupid white kid...

2. your opinion is the main media opinion. like 9/11 was a terror attack, oswald killed kennedy, the us are THE country, theres no horse, dog or cat meat in your chicken burger and chuck norris isnt talking to the bus driver

Well first of all its not the MIP award, its the pro bowl. The requirement for the pro-bowl is that you have to be good. Matt Cassel is not. Where are you looking when moss is wide open and cassel throws it 20 yards deep and 10 yards out of bounds?

pennington took a 1-15 team and made them a division contender, favre made a 4-12 team also a division contender. cassel took a 16-0 team and made them 8-5. The only reason he even did that good is because he is coached by the best and throws to one of the, if not the best, reciever in the nfl

Rivers and cutler are just plain better, they have better stats with far less weapons. Manning is obvious.

Flacco, Collins, and roethlisberger, im not completely sold on but they still put up good numbers on less than stellar offences. I would never vote for them for the probowl i just think they are better than cassel.

Bassically cassel had 2 good games against miami and NJ. I cant wait till cassel goes to another team next year and falls flat on his face, i cant believe the hype he gets.

where were you looking when moss dropped a td and gaffney dropped a 50 yd pass in the steelers game. oh and 2 400 yd games in a row? he can move to, hes scrambled for a few tds

yeah and other than those 2 games, hes been sub par at best, look at the stats. And yes he has made some good throws but hes made even more bad throws.

pennington did not make a 1-15 team 8-5. bill parcels and coaching did. favre did not make a 4-12 team 8-5. offseason work and an improved defense did. cassel did not make a 16-0 team 8-5. he made a tom bradyless pats team which was at best 8-8 for the season 8-5.

rivers has less weapons? howbout chris chambers, antonio gates, and fucking LT? where is the pats run game? we have morris who was injured most of the season, lamont jordan who was also injured much of the season, laurence maroney on IR, kevin faulk, also injured much of the season, and we have benjarvus green-ellis. every other qb you mentioned has a run game to support the pass game. not the pats, no, its all cassel

and that's the only reason tom brady was able to play at such a high level
he hardly ever got touched when the o line was at full health
its exactly the reason that they lost the superbowl last year- he was pressured and knocked down and he can't deal with pressure
that being said the pat's o-line was ridiculous 18 out of 19 games last season- so Brady was too

seriously, do you watch football other than the one pats game a week? The pats have 1650 rush yds. The jets have 1644, the dolphins have 1505, the chargers have 1279, pittspurgh has 1350, indy has 1015, denver has 1470. As a matter of fact, the pats have the 8th best rushing offense in the league, 3rd best in the AFC. Its pretty unbelievable that even after watching the games every week you don't understand that the pats are a good TEAM. Cassel is just a mediocre at best qb that got shoved into the system.

when you play the chargers, who do you fear. you fear LT. the reason why the other teams have so little rush yards is because other teams focus on stopping the run. indy has so few but i said manning deserves to be there. and that is why the other qbs do what they do. you honestly think philip rivers is a good qb? hate to break it to you, but he blows. its only cause other teams stack the box to stop LT. ronnie brown, ricky williams. leon washington, thomas jones. LT. willie parker, mewelde moore (who was a surprisingly good). only the broncos have a crap run game, and cutler has done a nice job

Are you honestly saying that you think matt cassel is better than phillip rivers, the guy with the highest qb rating in the league? matt cassel. The guy that wasn't even good enough to start in college. I mean hes 8-5 with one of the easiest schedules in the league and he inherited an 18-1 team that was considered the best team ever by some and your first thought is that the patriot's success is due to matt cassel? I don't know, if you can't see the flaws in that logic I guess theres no point in arguing. I guess we'll just have to wait till cassel moves on to another team to find out.

bottom line is that Teddy Bruschi is out for the season too, so were pretttty much fucked now regardless of Cassel

ill join in. Phil Rivers can suck Matt Cassel's DICK. yeah Cassel wan't good enough to start in college. Tom Brady was a back up once to. Look how he transformed! It seems Matt Cassel is going through the same transformation from being a backup NFL QB to a true champion QB. Yeah the team went 18-1 last year, that was last year's team. This year's team is very different. Where's Asante Samuel? how many injuries have occured? You know I hope he doesn't move on to another team, honestly I'd like to see him and Brady if he's even healthy enough next year to compete for the starting position.

what kind of kool aide are they drinking in NE. I can't believe you have already crowned him as the next "true champion." Ill say it again, HES HAD 2 GOOD GAMES. The rest were average at best which is pretty bad considering the offense he is in.

Samuel plays defense, he has nothing to do with the inadequacies of their offense. Thats all Cassel. (I know they are playing with different running backs but they didnt run last year anyways.)

It seems to me that Cassel will not be a pat next year, they don't have the cap room and the front office is too smart to pay him a ridiculous amount of money to do the job that any average qb could do. I dont know that much about whatever rumors are floating around, but thats what I would assume. And thats the worst case scenerio if Brady can't come back. If Brady is healthy, Cassels gone in a blink.

tom brady played backup at michigan. matt cassel played backup at usc, for 2 heisman winners and a fucking dirt nasty usc team. college means jack shit. the easiest schedule thing was based on last years records you dumb fuck. guess what, the jets are good, and the dolphins are good. last year the jets were what 4-12? and then dolphins were 1-15. so when we played them this year they were much better than those teams. he did not inherit an 18-1 team. an 18-1 team would have asante samuel, rodney harrison, and a shitload of other guys that arent injured like they are this year. it would also have donte stallworth and a great o line, unlike their disappointing play this year. yes, cassel is good because of the system. thats what made tom brady good. stop trying to argue that its only the system. if you put tom brady in a different system since 2000, he would still suck balls. the system makes cassel good, and he deserves to be in the probowl. who do you fear when you play the chargers? LT. you dont fear rivers. thats why rivers can throw all day, because the other team stacks the box and practices to stop LT. he has that qb rating because the defense focuses on the run, leaving WRs wide open

and if you really wanna argue whos in a weaker division, here you go

jets, dolphins are both 8-5, bills 6-7

broncos 8-5, raiders 3-10, chiefs 2-11

who has the easier schedule?

sjit i said i was done arguing, and I really don't know how to answer you without just retyping my other posts but hers one more thing.

On what grounds is matt cassel a top 4 qb in the AFC? Hes 6th in completion percentage, 5th in yards, 5th in touchdowns, has thrown the 5th MOST ints, 7th in qb rating, and has been sacked the most out of any player in the nfl.

Oh by the way, and record of patriots opponents to date: 81-127

San Diego apponents to date: 90-118

youre so fucking retarded. pats opponents is 81-88 BECAUSE WE MOTHERFUCKING BEAT THEM....

sd opponents have a winning record BECAUSE YOU GUYS LOSE.

but he was playing his first season ever and took a team whose success was highly contingent upon the performance of one TOM BRADY. They were 16-0 because of TOM BRADY. TOM BRADY was not 50 td passes because of 16-0 you dumb fuck.

You also can't look at absolute stats because in his first 4 or 5 games Cassel hadn't learned pocket awareness yet.. The fact that he is now 5th in yards is a testament to his rapid progression. If anything his stats being 6th in completion percentage, 5th in yards, 5th in tds, and 7th in qb rating SHOULD STRENGTHEN the argument for him being in the probowl considering where he and the team were at in week 6.

you patriots fans should take Matt Cassel's emergence as a sign that maybe Tom Brady wasn't the greatest thing since sliced bread... it's obvious that any quarterback can step in that offense and put up gaudy numbers after seeing what Matt Cassel has done...

SYSTEM QB

i always had a theory that every single person on the face of the earth hated Tom Brady (his teammates, coaches, fans, even himself), but these people HAD to pretend to like him because he is Tom Brady, but now i see the truth:

all patriots fans are raving homosexuals and would jump on the opportunity to have an all-out gay orgy with the patriots squad (more specifically Tom Brady, Teddy B, and coach Belichick... maybe throw a little Wes Welker in there too)

YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL PATS HAVE ONE OF THE HARDEST SCHEDULES IN THE LEAGUE i cant wait to bump this thread in a year.....

are you kidding me? do you know how the nfl schedules are decided? We automatically have to play the best teams in ever division in the AFC....

Do you honestly think the jets blow? Our division is for real this year. Everyone was all over the NFC east's nuts but look at them... parity across the board. Then look at us... 3 8-5 teams?

what about the seasons where his best reciever was deion branch and his second third and fourth choices were david patten david givens and troy brown?

In 2005 his best receiver was deion branch and he led the league in pass yards...

lets take a look at brady's passer ratings with deion fucking branch as his best reciever

2001: 86.5, 2002: 85.7, 2003: 85.9, 2004: 92.6, 2005: 92.3, 2006: 87.9, 2007: 117.2....

in 2006 his best reciever was reche caldwell and his others included absolute scrubs like doug gabriel... he ended the season with 3500 pass yards, 24 tds, only 10 ints, and 12 wins....

Would any QB in the history of the league be able to put up those numebrs with RACHE CALDWELL as the FLANKER?! fuck no you dumb fuck.

YOU WANNA SEE A SYSTEM QB!? : PEYTON MANNING.

boo hoo now that marvin harrison and reggie wayne are old look at manning now...

your points only solidified my argument that Tom Brady is a system quarterback...

i never said Tom Brady put up good numbers because of his surrounding cast, I said it was because of the system he plays in...
