NS Secret Santa

Organizers could randomly send pm's with an address once it's all set up....Just an address. This would avoid anyone actually knowing who's address they have. You're not supposed to know who your sending your gift to anyway.
 
It will work fine if everyone keeps that positive attitude. I know I have some sick gear Im not using that Im going to hook someone up with

But you're supposed to know who your getting a gift for during secret santa. Pink Elephant is when you don't know who your getting for and it goes in a pool.
 
You are supposed to know who you are giving it to (to get them an appropriate gift), you are not supposed to know who you are receiving from. That's the surprise.
 
Right right, I was thinking of the white elephant pile of gifts deal.......pink elephant????

Anywho that might work better here anyway as most probably won't actually know the member they get picked. Also it would take care of the address anonymity deal. A simple male or female could help in the gift selection process.

Just a thought. I do agree with the person above who said this should get hammered out soon though as christmas is fast approaching.
 
Ok, I will try to address all the issues that have been brought up(if I can remember).

Firstly, do not PM me your address right now. That will be sorted out later.

There will be a thread that I create tomorrow that is the ACTUAL thread to sign up in. This thread served its purpose well as the feeler/discussion of ideas thread.

As for who you have we will sort and match everybody. Canadians will go to Canadians, people in the US to people in the US, Europe to Europe(assuming there are enough). Once everything is sorted, you will be getting a PM from myself or Thomas letting you know who you have. That will include the person's username, a link to their profile, their address, and any ideas that they have left.

As to who will be involved, everybody is free to sign up. That means the Mods, Orange Names, Red Names, Pink Names, Blue names. As we have stated through, there will be some type of screen process to get the invite to the cult that will be created. I know it is kind of shitty that there has to be one, but this is to avoid people not getting a gift. Just think: how would you feel if you were all pumped to get something, but the person on the other end did not come through for you? It would suck. So we are going through everybody to try to avoid that.

If you do not feel safe/comfortable/ok with someone on this forum having your address and mailing you a gift, don't sign up. Simple as that. Not to come off as a dick, but that is how it is. It is just like B/S/T.

Should there be classes. Like people just wanting small thing

Like people who don't want to Spend much. So it will be small stuff they will be getting and giving. And vice versa give big get big.
