NS Secret Santa....?

Okay so i had this idea and have no idea if anyone would be down to it.

Ns creates some sort of secret santa thing, where people who actually want to be involved sign up and who will actually fullfill their share of it.

But anyways, after we get a bunch of members to sign up, mods or anyone could shuffle up and give each person a secret santa in which they ship something to the person they got, skiing related or something fun.

I don't know if this could actually happen but i wanna know what you guys think...
 
Such a legit idea, except some people would use it as a way to get something free and they won't send a gift to their receipiant(sp?) then everything would get complicated.. I dont know, I would do it if I had complete trust in all NSers.. In which some I dont
 
such a sick idea. except id be sketched out if my secret santa was this noob who signed up yesterday with like 3 posts
 
yeah deffinitly could be sketchy on the trust thing,

maybe we could make it only for members over a certain post count number , or site involvement or something so they'd be alot less likely to rip someone off
 
I would be totally down for that. It would be sick to get some random gift from someone across the country. If we are going to do it I say we start very soon. If someone bails and doesn't get their person a gift, they would get destroyed on here. As long as people aren't sending skis to each other expecting the same in return, even the worst case scenario wouldn't be horrible.

it should people w/ over a certian amount of posts to dissuade being a douchebag

and mabye like no gift valued over 15 bucks?
 
We could make a cult? this is a good idea but do we have time? if, not, we could make it an secret x-games
 
this could work, but there is always going to be that one person who would send like a dildo
 
for legit members tho. like you must have good feedback/ be a contributor. Usually people don't buy from other members, donate, etc on aliases. have members vouch for other members, etc.

^ theres plenty of people on here that aren't donators that are absolutely legit. that's not really fair. and jaylib the creator of this isin't even a donator . if people are to participate in this they should have like 5+ people with good feedback in there profile or something ? sign me up yo
 
Sick idea, and honestly it should be done by post count... I know it doesn't matter normally, but the karma system is too random and feedback is generally only given to people on B/S/T. Yeah, there are some douches with high post counts, but I feel like there's more accountability when it's someone who is obviously very active on the site. Obviously exceptions could be made for people with great feedback, or people who contribute a lot to the site in other ways besides forum posts. Someone should organize this on the swift.
 
id be down but dont have the time or the will to set it all up. if someone does it, and it s all organized add me to it
 
yeah thats how i feel. yeah theres douches with huge post counts but they'd be less apt to rip someone off and get banned due to how active they are on the site.

i'm going to make a cult later on today so anyone that wants an invite let me know!
 
haha all good.

and i agree with you, shouldnt be based on if you're a donator or not. can play a factor but theres tons of people on here that are legit who arnt donators including you

yeah that sounds sick... i would love an invite.but, instead of doing this off of posts or karma or whatever, you should just invite people who you know are legit, or you could have a certain "deemed legit" person vouch for you, if that makes any sense.
so, i would be really down for this, but also, just to make sure some scammers don't... scam us, one person should write down who everybody is sending to and receiving from, just for that extra safety...
also, hypothetically if this did happen, i wouldn't want anybody else spending more than me on the present or shipping because i would feel bad. but, we should set a limit like said above for total cost etc...

There once was mod named yeti

His rep went up to his heady

He scammed some skiers

And decided to flee(ers)

And we haven't seen him since.

Basically: Yeti was a mod, well respected, lots of posts. He scammed some guys and we haven't seen him around since. I think thats right, this was before karma too...
