NS role in the ski industry?

How big of an affect does NS have on the ski industry? I mean it has an insane amount of member's and those who arent on here have to have friends that are and hear all this shit. what do yall think? Has N's affected what you buy or support?

it has definately effected my views. like if i werent on hear i never would have heard about that voice message from steve winter in high five. that made me look at msp differently. you get to see pictures and what not of people who arent pro, so that way I realize how bad i really suck.

Absolutely

ns provides a some what reliable resource for product reviews. it is a huge propaganda/rumor spreder, plus all they hype you get such with new ski happenings. and NS provides a huge advertisement location. it's also a place to get a more 1 on 1 conversation with the skiiers than any interview in a magazine ect can give. (not to mention the feedback.) i'm sure with out NS freeskiing wouldent be where it is today. I think it would be very remote, and concentrated in few spots. NS lets things spread across the ski community and thus alows those of us on one coast to follow the same sort of progression as those on another. even in different countries!

if not for NS i wouldn't know shit about what was going on in the ski industry. ignorance is bliss though, right?

Every single person in our part of the ski industry watches this site. Companies, reps, owners, resorts, manufacturers, magazines, shops... I could go on forever.

Companies can basically get free surveys by saying "do you like this or not" say that they're a member. They can also hive good reviews and free advertising through posts of their product
