Woke up early
Snow on the hills across the valley from my place.
Soggy and wet down by my building.
Packed the car.
Gas is getting pricy, even for Oregon...
Powerade.
Racking up the mileage.
Rain/snowmix in town.
Found some snow up the road a bit further.
Shitty driving conditions. Slushy/Icy roads.
Only a couple hundred miles to my parents' place.
Bye Oregon.
Hello California.
Once in California, sun starts to shine.
Secession Movement.
Weed, Ca
Mt. Shasta Skipark.
Socked in and cloudy to start.
But then the sun came out.
Fun day. Perfect chalky snow all day long, and zero lines.
Back on the road.
Shasta lake.
Bridge over the lake.
MUST STOP.
Be jealous.
Back on the road.
So flat. Biggest Valley in the world.
Snowstorms on the now distant mountains.
Shadows.
Really?
Sutter Buttes.
There must have been a race happening at Laguna Seca or Infineon raceway... There was about 40 super tuned up race cars heading south. that I passed, either on trailers, or driving.
Needed more gas. It's about the same in California as in Oregon.
Sun was really crazy while it was setting.
Windfarm.
Bridge in the Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta.
Sacramento River (I passed over it at least 7 times on this trip. It starts up at Shasta Lake...)
One final bridge.
Home at the parentals'
