I'm happy to announce that today we have launched a mobile friendly

version of Newschoolers.com! Simply grab your hadset and visit "newschoolers.com" and you will be redirected automatically. (There is a

link in the footer if you still want to use the full site).

The Mobile site includes News, Blogs and Cult News formatted for

mobiles. Member profiles including My Threads and Inbox have also been

added.

When you login from your handset, it will not log out your desktop browser.

Yeah, it's actually better than iNS, mostly because you can check your PMs there now.
 
Pretty sick, I like the reply box at the bottom and that I don't need to change the size all the time to read text. Well done.
 
yeah, reply box is handy, but i can only type on one line in there....you have that too ?
maybe make it like 3 or 4 lines ...
 
ive been stuck with out internet this week and am trying to make a sale on here and it got very gay trying to do it on my blackberry..then i logged in this morning on my blackberry and EVERYTHING was simplified and easy. very very pimp. thanks fellassss
 
Stoked you guys are into it!

We decided that there was a need for all mobile devices to be able to access Newschoolers... not just those with iPhones!

We'll be addressing iNS in the upcoming weeks. I apologize, I know that has been buggy as of late, but we'll get it fixed.

Why would you need an app when all the functionality of NS will be available on NSmobile regardless of the platform
 
That is very true, I just liked the way the iNS app was set up. I haven't been on the mobile site yet, so maybe it's very similar.
 
It's sick, excellent work! I was browsing on it on my iPod and it loaded very fast and is has more capabilities than iNS. This should be perfect for those boring lectures once school starts in two weeks. :)

So much better than iNS because every comment doesn't say "null" in a quote box above it then you loose half the comment. Great improvement
 
Is there any way that the default on iPad could be the full site? It renders, looks, and feels excellent on iPad excellently as-is and you have to press "View Full Site" every time your cookies are reset.

Please consider this. The mobile site looks truly terrible on iPad. It's slower, lower-resolution, and more difficult to use. I use iPad almost exclusively when casually browsing the internet, and while I've seen plenty of iPad-specific websites, I have seen few websites that render the iPod/iPhone version in lieu of the full site.
