it looks legit, but is everything is centered, it would be a lot easier if you justify left and use bullets

haha i am surprised you put that on NS with the actual phone numbers but anyways

i dont like the formating but maybe thats just how it came out on NS

also i was never told to give anecdotal comments but rather just the description of the job but maybe you were taught differently

over all a solid resume good luck in your search man

I would compact the descriptions of the jobs if you could. You should always try to get your resume to fit one page of paper because the average guy looking at it will glance at it and make a snap decision weather to look at it again or not. So I would recommend highlighting the job title and then using about 3 sentences to describe it.

Also, use more descriptive language. Here are my entries for being the sales bitch at Sunglass Hut and Abercrombie:

Sales Associate, Luxottica Group, Capitola, CA, 2006-2007

Performed retail sales activities at an upscale eyewear store. Managed cash, controlled inventory, prepared reports and closed sales. Lead all Sales Associates in dollar volume during my tenure.

Brand Representative, Abercrombie and Fitch, Capitola, CA, 2005

Responsible for set-up and maintenance of presentation standards throughout the store, aided in merchandise flow, executed loss prevention exercises, managed income.

See, that makes the easiest, stupidest jobs sound ballin.

Good luck though, thats a solid resume. Tons of good stuff there!

Beginning every sentence with "I" is a no no.

rather than

"I am going to Ferris State University for a degree in Management..."

try

Is attending Ferris State University for management.

just my opinion

In progress of a degree in Business Management at

Ferris State University, with this degree I plan to open a skiing business.

**Hows that? and should Buisness Mangmanet be CAP?

you could even go as far as taking out the "Is" so it jsut reads

Attending Ferris State University for management.

Reads much nicer, we were always taught in careers studies to drop "I"s from resumes to make them sound more professional.

I like it though it makes you look like you have real goals.

CAP is up to you, it couldnt hurt.

not sure if you meant to do this but, Reed City High School (May 2007) is under management, would you want it under education. Everything else looks great

I learned to do resumes without writing complete sentences

Ex:

I am attending this school and am trying to bla bla bla bla NOT GOOD

Scholarship: GOOD

School of Hard Knock '05

Master Degree in Hustling

That is pretty pessimistic. I would suggest that somebody will read it.

Just a few thoughts (for background, I have an MBA, was Vice President of a management consulting firm and am now in management at Mt Hood Meadows).

-I repaired computers for Faculty and Students at Ferris State University, anything from installing software to a complete system rebuilds. This job required great knowledge of diagnosing and repairing computers. - Emphasize "action", i.e. - Repaired computers....., diagnosed problems, etc...

-Production rose nine computers a week from 36 to 45 once I was hired. - Contributed to 400% weekly capacity increase

-Having low seniority I was laid-off due to budget conflictions, with a promised job when I come back. - I wouldn't volunteer information about why you aren't in the job anymore - let them ask.

PM me if you have any specific questions - I pretty much read resumes every day.

another tip, unless the person reviewing your application is seriously retarded they're going to realize that #-###-#### is a phone number and name@domain.com is an email so you don't need to specify that.

Objectives

I am going to Ferris State

An objective is not supposed to be what you do with your life, it is supposed to be what you want for a job. You should say what kind of job you are looking for and why you think you should have that job.

Ex. To obtain a part time job working in a ski store using my time management skills and extensive ski knowledge.

Education

Ferris State University (May 2011)

Management.

Should be more like:

Ferris State Univresity; Anticipated graduation 2011

Town, State; BA Management

Reed City High School (May 2007)

No Major, but focused on

C.A.D.

You don't have to say No Major, most people don't have a major in high school, all you need to say is Concentration or Focused in the area of C. A. D.

again don't put the year in parenthesis say

Reed City High School, 2007

TOWN, STATE
