aalright so everyyear my uncle and his family have been going up to this lake about an hour away from me. so everyyear we are invited up for one day, and the past 2 years my brother and i have come up with some stupid contraption to be pulled behind a boat. 2 years ago was a sled with sandles screwed into it, and had a spoiler. last year was an old bikefram attached to some old skis, and floats.

So this year my brother will be away and cant make the trip this year, and left the building up to me. and i just finished today. so i figured why not post them up and see what people think about it.

so yeah there it is. built it in 4 days, and paid $0.00 for all the materials. just stuff laying around the house.

its just something that my brother and i have been doing the past 3 years. my family goes up to Paradox lake up in NY, so it has gotten the name The Doxian

Took four days to build that haha?

Nah i am just kidding with ya, I love building random shit like this to tow behind cars or boats.

na just finished about an hour ago. but its got those floats on there to keep it up. also its all wood, so it should float. test trial is tomorrow

I work at a resort on a lake so I get to see all kinds of things on the lake. A guy down the shore from us owns the actual boat from Miami Vice. Anywho, one day I'm working and someone rips by on a piece of plywood. It was just a 5x8 sheet of plywood with a rope attached to the front that you would hold on to to keep the front up. After they got going they could let go of the rope attached to the front of the board and basically wakeboard on a piece of plywood. The guy doing it told me that all of his wakeboards and dirigibles to pull behind the boat got stolen so he borrowed a piece of plywood from his neighbor.

yeah over a period of 4 days ya prick. i work all day, so i come hime and then go to work on this. and yeah i know its not a fuckin piece of art, but its fun to make, and people get a laugh out of it.

this reminds me of that vid of those kids who attached old skis to a couch...
that looks pretty fun, i wish i had a boat :)

the best thing you can ever make me and my frined made on it was called the diving dipper
take a piece of ply wood thats about 6 feet tall and 5-6 feet wide cut it into the shape of a house
tie a really long rope to the front of it and when the boat goes u just get pulled under water we lost ours becuase we ran it into the bottom of the lake about 25 feet deep
the thing was so crazy in the middle of the lake we must have gone down 30 feet it is just sheer cold and darkenss
we also atatched a wakeboard handle to the front to use as leverage to pull the front back up so we could surfce
anybody with access to a boat try this its the sickest thing in the world

haha well last years model we had the rope fixed to the frame. and when it sank, it dove down and tore the cleat right off from the boat.

iv pulled gt behind my boat before. some neighbors down the beach from us have a ghetto old dock with that mini golf green carpet on it, so we soak it down with water and putt dish soap on it then get a long rope and pin it. so fun haha

game day is sunday, i told my cousin to bring his video camera since mine is broken. so i will have some video up for youguys by the end of the week.

I've done it, only it was a 4 ft round disc rather than being a whole 4x8 sheet. Then I got up on it with a lawn chair in my hand, opened it up, and sat on it and drank a soda. It was pretty awesome.

no its unreal u have pretty good control and you get used to knowing when to come up and once you get the board slanted upwards you raise pretty fast you can get down really fast to

Sound like a great way to pull whatever it is you have the rope attached to out of the boat. Last year i watched an 8 year old pull a waterski post out of a boat because he leaned to far forward on a tube.

my family does that on our annual boat trip except we just use a tube. you do go down super far and we've brought up seaweed on many occasions. it's crazy how cold the water gets when you go down just a couple of feet.

That's because you're not supposed to attach tubes to waterski posts or wakeboard towers, only the eyelet on the back of the boat.

i hope you're not going to try to sit in the chair and ride it that way. from the looks of it you'll just blow up and eat shit.

ya dude my dad used to do this when he was a kid. he said it was so sick, you could go as far as you want as long as the rope was long enough, he did it with scuba gear once and said it was insane

Actually you're not supposed to attach tubes to that either. I worked at a boat dealership for a summer and I've seen about half a dozen of those pull out. According to the manual on most new boats you're supposed to attach this harness thing to two hooks that are on either side of the prop hole and then attach the harness to the tube.

Nobody actually does it until they rip the eyelet out once though.

Speaking of lakes being deep and dark and cold and whatnot; one time, i brought a worm to the bottom of a lake to catch a fish i guess, and i think it blew up from the pressure. I though i was nex so i went back up.

im callin shenanigins on this one

i'm a certified diver scuba diver, which requires you take a bunch of classes about pressures and nitrogen levels etc. and if you rocketed down to 30 feet without time to properly clear your ears the pressure would break your eardrums, your normally supposed to clear your ears at exponentially smaller distances, starting pretty quickly (like 8 ft).

no. just no its different when your scuba diving you dont go all the way down instantly and there is pressure on your ears but ive swam down 25-30 feet with the assistance of a rope hundreds of times and ya you feel pressure but nothing you cant handle
and people who free dive deep dive go down like 80 feet in just a bathing suit sooo..
STFU NEWB

worms don't explode for the same reason ppl dont explode, our bodies are filled for the main part with fluids, fluids cannot be compressed therefore we cannot implode (explode would be strange..)Only our lungs get compressed when you freedive into water, and that pressure is mainly compromised by your ribcage...to get back onto the worm, worms are filled with fluids mainly so their body wont get compressed as well....
