NS ladies...

On a related note, if that guy is cute, then I officially have no idea what women find attractive in men.

lol at ignorant idiots.

this isn't about politics. this is about what's right. unfortunately Harper is making a mockery of our country, and a different leader may not have been such an embarrassment. Chretien was the one who signed on in he first place if you didn't know.

I hate people who clearly have absolutely no idea about anything related to the matter, then are all 'hippie scum', 'liberal bastards'. fucking learn something about it first. clearly you know nothing. or took one environmental science course and think you know everything.

should have saved the smegma comments for you two.

actually, i am an environmental student. except i see the environment in a macro perspective. you're obviously seeing it through a tunnel.

chretien signed on to pander to his base, but he knew the full impact of Kyoto would ruin the economy. he just made it look like he was going to do something.

Kyoto wasn't reasonable or well thought out to begin with. also if it didn't included the major countries such as usa and china then there really isn't any point. and buying green credits from african countries that are well below their pollution quota is counter-productive in the end.

http://www.montrealgazette.com/business/Ottawa+Kyoto+pledge+died+years/5787868/story.html

so before you start blaming people, at least get the blame right.

My girlfriend met him at a hotel in Hawaii a year or so back (before we were dating) and she said he is constantly surrounded by body guards like 12 of them. Always. She said he was a pretty nice kid but kinda shy.

you're obviously in the arts 'environmental studies'. you sound like you're in denial of climate change. if you think there's any sort of debate on climate change in the scientific community then you're completely wrong. to think people are 'stupid hippies' for caring is the most close minded thing I've ever heard.

I don't look at it through a political or an economic standpoint. which obviously is the massive downfall of the world. Canada has and always will be the laugh of the world when it comes to environmental issues. Harper is doing nothing to help by refusing to sign on to a new agreement.

and kyoto was completely reasonable and well thought out to begin with. It didn't include US since they refused to sign on. and it worked for almost all the countries who did sign on to it, Canada being the worst example. Just look at Germany. China at that point was still considered developing and wasn't anywhere close to where it is today in terms of pollution, now that it's turning into a more developed country then it absolutely should be put to some serious regulation.

The only blame that can be put right now is on those who are blind enough to deny the need of regulations on pollution, such as China, Canada, and US. it's the present that matters in this issue.

fuck al gore.

honestly though, man made global warming is not a joke. there is no debate about it. it's a fact. the only debate is outside the scientific community. some of the only people who do debate it are the same people who said 'smoking does not cause cancer'. true story.

look up in any scientific literature. all you'll find are articles supporting human induced global warming. nothing against it.

maybe you should. it's a fact of life in this world that can't be ignored. you just can't bury your head in the science of the issue without considering the macro ramifications.

and china is only considering kyoto based on a conditional agreement where all developed countries sign on to Kyoto now in 2012 and then 8 years later china would sign on in 2020. that should be more then enough time for china to become the dominant world super power as we all bottle neck our economies trying to meet the agreement.

i never said climate change due to human activity wasn't true. the article link that i supplied did. i was merely using it to show the evolution of kyoto in canadian politics. what i am saying however, is that kyoto wasn't the way to address these issues and that the blame is shared among all the prime ministers that have been in power since the signing of kyoto. chretien, martin, dion, and harper, all guilty. but to assert that harper is responsible for killing kyoto, then you're simply wrong and should brush up on your history.

and as for germany, they met their targets because of the reunification of germany and the collapse of east german industrialization. with the collapse, germany had already met the kyoto protocol well before they signed it. so in reality, your kyoto protocol had no influence over germany's reduction in GHG's.

It's seems mighty interesting that this became such a huge deal and then the proposed solutions.

If this seemed to have anything to do with saving the environment I'd be more interested to here. I call bullshit.

do girls look at what their boyfriends father looks like to get an idea of what they will look like down the road if they ever get married? i ask this, because this is what guys do with their girlfriends moms.
