So, I am in a shitty mood. I get online and figure I'll go browse NS and take my mind off all the negative energy surrounding me right now. And I get on here and read nothing but hate threads, bickering, and blasting each other. I'll admit, about 5 minutes ago, I called a kid a "stupid fuck" in a thread, but now that I think about it, this is really lame. Its a website devoted to a sport we all love. You dont hear football players arguing over whether their jersey is too tight over their shoulder pads...

...seriously. go smoke a joint and chill the fuck out (if you are into that). If not, just loosen up guys. Its about fun...
 
Agreed. I just mentioned something to this effect in the last two threads I responded to. What is up folks? Where is the love? I do think a lot of it is just for fun though.
 
u just added to the negativeness of the site, more hating then helping by making a thread hating on hating, if that made any sense at all
 
NS hasnt really changed at all, theres still tons of lil kids claiming shit left and right and starting shit all over the place, for me id rather just go ski in the winter then hit up ns in the summer when i sink low enough to claim with the rest of the kids on this site, or when its storming life fuh
 
i think its just getting sicker.. more people are paying attention to newschoolers with all the pros recognizing it and all the live comps and that... thats my 2 cents anyway

i ranted about NS last night, but honestly i dont think its "going downhill" we get to watch live streaming events of SKIING on this website. we have sick people running the show and just great people all around.

every-so often the hate gets bad but it always balances out and sometimes its bad, sometimes its good, and i believe its pretty much been like that since i have been here 03.

and if the internet forums get too instense for you i say just dont go to them and stick to anywhere else. not that hard.
 
NS has been going downhill from 3 years before it started. I'm telling you in 1996, the idea of NS was the shit... then Harvey fucked it all up by making it into a site that people could actually go to.

Downhill is the new uphill.

And NS has changed over the years but I still come here every day, multiple times just like everyone who posted in this thread, and any thread for that matter.
 
actually i think it is better than it used to be, there was a period following the NS golden age where shit was pretty out of control, but i think it is better now. unfortunately it will never be totally fixed because it is a site designed to discuss things with almost 110,000 members, so people tend to disagree, and not disagree respectfully. the biggest problem that i have, is that pretty much all the hate stems from two things: the first is that waaaaay to many people do not think before they post and/or start a thread and then get pissed when they get hated on, and the second is that people cannot RESPECTFULLY disagree with other peoples opinions. i'm all down for having intelligent political or socialogical discussions (or any other subject for that matter), but i often feel that i cannot have an intelligent conversation or debate on NS because everything is "fuck you you fucking faggot" "you don't know shit you stupid ass bitch" and things of that nature. if people could just grow up a bit, stop acting like angry drunks on the internet, do a little research on the topic, and think before they post, most of the crap you see in the forums would go away.
 
It's all about cults and regionals.

Or just go to johnsymms.com. That place is going uphill big time.
