NS is Ruining Skiing

I'm getting pretty sick and tired of hearing this. I do not understand what motivates people to come on to our site, bash us for doing what we love and then return and say we are ruining the sport.

One argument I have heard lately is that all we care about in here is our XXXL gear, or the new rap songs we're jammin to on our iPods as we blaze down the park. That we don't care about skiing and its just about fashion and what other people think of us. "Is this ok?" "Can I wear these pants with this coat?" I could go on...

Seriously, get a grip and look at the world around you. We are surrounded in a society in which everyone must have the new thing, people don't think twice before judging someone else on their looks or the clothes they are wearing. This mentality is ingrained into our heads from Day 1 and is just another part of our daily lives. So to all those people bashing us out there, who may or may not read this, just leave us be, stop telling us to huck ourselves off buildings or strap one board to our feet because its the better choice. We really don't care and we're getting pretty sick of it.

P.S. I was in a ranting mood this morning haha my bio class is pissing me off
 
Yeah ummmmmmm i like skiing and newschoolers likes skiing so then i think that equals newschools is the shit.
 
Dude, if some people have FUN being all gangstar, that's not ruining skiing. If you don't like it, don't do it, and it won't ruin it for you. Don't let everyone infuence you so much that you don't enjoy skiing.
 
im gonna go get really high and crank my ipod so i cant hear my friends talk to me while i cruise the park in my quadruple extra large sized jacket keeps me warm. however i wont perform any tricks because i am too worried of what other kids will think of me if i fuck up... :)
 
Its all about fun. WHo cares what people wear, really. Its rediculous, becasue I have a freind who will judge a picture on the clothes a person is wearing and nothing else. Hes not very good either, but JUST cares about his clothes and how he looks. I care about how i lok on the hill, but only to a certain extent. I focus on my skiing waayyy more.
 
Its all about the good time you have on the snow. If you have that good time with a bunch of guys who all think that anything under XXL is way to small then so be it, as long as you have a good time skiing, thats all that matters
 
what he said.^^ And if you think that its so much bullshit and you hate NS , why do you have like 500 posts. Get a clue hypocrit.
 
If I see people looking stupid, I just laugh at them and move on, I'm not going to let it affect my skiing in any way
 
Haha the whole point of my message was that I am AGAINST people being judegemental and saying that NS is really the downfall of freeskiing as we know it. The thread title was SARCASTIC...Way to be a dumbass haha.
 
newschoolers is to chat about skiing and whatever lifestyle you live! it doesn't matter if your a thug or if your emo, you should ski for the fun of it, really if you care that much about "being cool" you should just snowboard and sit on the hill. honestly just ski!!!
 
i believe that you have to look decent on and off the slopes and especially if your filming. setting new trendz and lookin like a fool is how you start a trend and you try this until someone else goes hey thats cool i'll do it too then it spreads like wild fire. like dome tukes, looks a lil silly but dope at the same time, gogg sag, baggy clothes, tight jeans, hesh, bullet proof vests, its just fashion its no different then the style you portrait when you are "SKIING" like physically doing your skiing. You have to look good while doing so or you got nothin if it means fashion, style, attitude or all of the above.

i dunno some newschool kids embaress me,,, but ns is not really ruining it.. its just documantating the cluster fucking of "newschool" skiing.. skiing will never die..

i think the only thign that has to stop is the BASHING, if kids like baggy cloths thats good, if kids like emo cloths that good, it doesnt matter what you wear what you listen to as long as you like it and thats what NS is about, kids coming together and giving suggestions and wanting help and posting there edits and picture maybe just o show people or to ask for help, as you can see were a mess and it has to stop, even look at the pros, they take NS kids as a joke, like in LSS when there like "Ya lets post Mike Clarkes superunkown 3 vid on NS all the kids are gunna call him gay" its true and it has to stop, do what you want, wear what you like, listen to what you want, and have fun with the sport, NS is FUN SKIING

but i think alot of us love the sport for reasons you cant put in words.

well skiing is becoming more popular and thats one of the downfalls to that but is it good? I think so, you r ur own person don't follow or listen to that stuff if u don't want to
 
um ya ur gay sking wouldent be sking with out being being stezzy and wering what every one weres and look good so like u should go cry becuase u dont have any styel
