I need your help getting my money back. I lost $1200 in august and after waiting forever for paypal to do something I'm taking this into my own hands. Here's the story:
Back in august I was looking for a new camera. I found one in good condition on dvxuser.com. It's a legit site and so far, there has only been one problem out of thousands. The guy showed me pictures of the camera with my name and email in it next to the camera, I talked to him for 2 weeks before I bought it and found out as much as I could about it. When it came time to pay I sent the money through paypal. About 4 hours later I found out he had already sold the camera to someone else. I thought it must be a mistake. Turns out the guy's a fucking douchebag. I've lost hope in getting the guy to pay me back so I'm going after paypal.
I opened a complaint with them as soon as I found out the guy had sold it to someone else. This was less than4 hours after I sent the money. The guy responds with "I have talked with the buyer and everything is fine". I hadn't even talked to him. Later, I found out the guy used his friends paypal account. I've tried talking to the friend and she won't give me any information on the guy. About a month later and over 30 emails, paypal responds with "We have decided in your favor, however, we were unable to recover any funds
from the seller's account."
Absolute bullshit. First of all, paypal is insured for millions. They could easily give me $1200. Second, why the fuck does it take a month to "investigate". They had all of the information they needed. I had saved every conversation with the guy. And third, why did they let the person withdraw the money from the account while they were investigating them?
I'm coming to NS for your help. I want to piss paypal off as much as possible. My plan is to flood paypal with angry emails telling them how unprofessional they were in handling my case. It needs to be somewhat cival so don't go too crazy. Make sure you use PP-321-218-965 in the subject line. Send as many emails as you can, as often as you can. Other than that, have some fun.
