Ns going big time with ads

recently the adds are getting much more corperate. i remeber like a year ago it was still only local ski shops and companies. now theres netflix classmates and a bunch of weird shit. Im not against it tho, bigger ads mean more money and more money for NS means more publicity for skiing. So click thos ads

it also means less exposure for those small companies that dont have a lot of money for advertising and chose NS but now have to share their time with like 300 ads no one gives a shit about. If were going to have these ads, then NS should lower the amount to advertise on or alter its advertising in the forums rules.

I highly doubt that you got a virus from them...especially if you didn't even click it...my guess is you were looking at porn at some point and were on some rediculous site looking for it because you don't have a credit card/don't want to spend money on a legit site so you went to the free sites and got a virus...

NS advertising is still way cheaper then Freeskier yet all the ski companies seem to have no problem throwing down big cash for them...

This is a big problem that we're addressing. Companies like Adidas throw down bigtime, and I'm completely fine giving them a ton of ads. However, the other stuff (hp, classmates, university of phoenix, etc) doesn't pay quite as well.

I have been spending months trying to figure out just how to price things so that its a lot more attractive to smaller companies, and I think that we've finally come up with a good solution.

It will price the ads way cheaper for the ski companies, replace much of this remnant stuff with them, and still leave room for the big dick shit, like adidas.

It was a bit of a new ad system this year, and its taken a bit of getting used to... I've got it figured out though now and things are going to get better. Too bad its summer. :)

Hah we've got a wicked deal on ads right now too for anyone who wants to do some quick summer advertising... :)

sounds good. i like seeing ski ads on a ski website.

also, i've seen many people say that the ads are outragously bright and loud but i haven't run into any of that

in an effort to reduce the amount of advertising we took them down!

You guys have been asking for a reduction, so we're really looking at the whole ad program and trying to figure out how to best streamline it while maximizing revenue.

With all the cool shit we did this year, it cost mad bank. We gotta make the loot somehow!
