NS Gathering/Camp out this June

Judging by how our snowpack is still 133% above average, probably not for a while. I wouldn't guess until late June this year.
 
I will definately be up there then. I think that this idea is sick. It blows that the lifts won't be open this year it was so much fun 2 years ago. I think that we should build a road gap over the highway. It would be pretty easy to do and there wouldn't be much hiking involved.
 
no, i emailed the ski area and there was not enough interest from groups/camps to make opening feasible. that should change by next year though. i bet they have tons of snow right now! do you remember what dates you were there 2 years ago?
 
word thats would be fun... it would be fun to build a few jumps and just session the jumps.. and that way there is plenty of spots for the Big mountain guys to hike around..
 
me, tjski, and ferrinski86 were there for 7 days in june. we rented a house in red lodge and skied every day so we probably talked to you
 
I'm sure. It was such a fun time and everyone was throwing down. I'm bummed the lifts aren't gonna be open again b/c you could lap the park so much
 
word.. that was one of my most fun times ive ever had... who wouldnt like skiing in summer weather? And the best thing is the snow never really got that slow, despite the fact the jumps needed to be salted a little
 
i just saw on the 10 oclock news where an avalanche took out the road and some tourists were stranded on the pass.
 
dang... hopefully they got skis to pass the time... thats crazy yet another year the road gets demolished..
 
that is a good question, i thought it was open but the news said the people were stranded until the plow cleared a single lane through the slide path. they said the road would reopen soon though.
