NS, feelings about Pea Coats?

I recently bought a pea coat. its black and pretty baggy. its pretty effin flashy. what do you NSers think about pea coats?

they're cool, nice and classic look. some people look like retarded hipsters in them though. i can't pull one off yet i dont think
 
Pea coats and wool coats in general are awesome. Anyone who says you're a fag for wearing one is an idiot and obviously has no sense of style.
 
anyone who says youre a fag for wearing a pea coat is probably from the same group of people who think wayfarers are a new trend. not saying you have to like them but making fun of something so classic is something like making fun of someone for wearing a suit or something..
 
They are more expensive and less protective than my ski jacket. anyone who buys them to wear in the winter is a retard.
 
i think they look pretty sweet but not entirely sure i can pull it off. simon had an oakley one at killington that was pretty sweet.
 
they look good. i think its dumb how popular they are now, it kinda ruined the class of it.
 
I think they generally look pretty lame on dudes. Girls can usually rock them pretty well though.

I prefer overcoats, but at my height its sometimes difficult to find them in the right length. I have a really nice camel hair and merino one that I spent way way way too much money on but its warm as all fuck and super comfortable. But it only really looks good if i'm wearing a suit though.
 
frat boys rock them all the time.
I think its the equivalent of uggs but for dudes, in a popularity and fashion sense though.
 
My favorite street jacket is a black wool pea coat. I think they look nice with a scarf, especially on girls.
 
there comes a time in every mans life where his xxl orage jacket just isn't practical for going to the mall. my peacoat is awesome.

only bad thing about it is my golden retriever gets her hair ALL OVER IT.

Pea coats/ wool coats are classic, and have been around forever. Anyone who think they're a new thing is a moron. I could only pull one off with a suit though.
 
it honestly depends. On some people it reflects their douchey stuck up personality but some people can really pull it off well.
 
I want an overcoat with gold buttons kinda like what a pirate would wear. Not too douchebaggy and is perfect attire for hunting booty.

one thing though, you mentioned yours is baggy, which is definitely not something you want.... you want either a boxy fit (real classic, better for old people) or a slim form fit (more trendy and modern)
 
Technical fabrics > peacoats. plus I live in WA, I'd rather be dry a comfortable than what some call "stylish," Although sometimes peacoats look decent if not worn by some hipster trash. Some people can rock em some people can't, it's simple as that.
 
got one from kohls (fuck yes) and i like it a lot. perfect for when its cold but you still gotta look a little classy
