Where would riders be without newschoolers? Tom Wallisch, the Dadalli's, Steve Stepp....etc. They're all so talented, but would Wallisch have REALLY been invited to JOI without newschoolers? The talent level alone is ridiculous, but would they be as blown up now if it werent for NS?
 
there are plenty, actually i would say most are members - whether they post regularly or not is another question
 
yeah mate and i saw candide posting last night, it was shit, he was trying to big himself up by saying he was good.....

are there actually any top pros???
 
yea, he did... he was just skiin around with jon and was doing some way tech tricks then got a call a few days later from jon and bam! he was invited..

WHat you are really asking is where would skiing be without guys who are interested in it! Well you don't need to question whether Wallisch would have been in the JOI because without guys who are interested in the industry (NS) then there would be no JOI in the first place!

 
you don't need to copy and paste the original post and I think hes saying that newschoolers is good because it helps people get notices
 
ns helps skiers who deserve to be sponsored get their name out there and it helps me feel like i dont ski with snowboarders... even though i do
 
Well that is one way to explain it.

But i think NS helps the hype of everyperson who is good in the ski industry and probly influences the way ski movies are made and shot. Also i think the progression comes from here too. Like people see people doing stuff then try it...IT only helps the industry progress
 
NS is the source for freestyle skiing. So many of the pros post on here (even though you'd probably never notice half their names). Even if they aren't posting tons lurk. NS has probably exposed so many kids to the industry that would've never had a chance. Such a great place. Also, you will get honest feedback on NS more than anywhere else...although some of you may not be ready for how honest some of our members are. NS is dope. You know it.
 
Well put.

NS gives kids chances that normally wouldn't have a one at making in the industry. Especially the kids from less ski oriented states. Great way to get your name into the mix...
 
There are good and bad points too it. Sure people get more exposure by posting vids/pics etc. But there are also alot of idiots who overhype themselves to the point of it just being annoying since they have the freedom to do it online.
 
They would still be were they are now, obviously being on NS helps out a great deal, but they would still be getting exposure, it would just be a bigger mountain to climb, no pun intended
 
alright chill out mate, i wanted to know if there were any top pros on ns, the candide thing obviously got taken the wrong way, in my view he is the top pro and has been for years.

with reference to my signature, dont really understand what you said, dont really like the song but i just think that is is a cool line
 
everyone forgetting about the get invited to JOI thread? i mean these kids rip, every single one of them. but the exposure crews and riders get from NS is ridiculous. the 4bi9 riders are basically household names in our industry, and a lot of that is because of NS. i really dont think that if there wasnt a NS there would be another site. other sports just dont have htem
 
ya if werent for NS most of skiing would be scatered between a bunch of differnent sites rather then just one huge site like NS

that was bad/ not funny sarcasm about candide or you think he really isn't a top pro and just gave up cause someone with more posts called you out.

and you have a song you don't like in your signature? or just said that cause someone with more posts told you it was played
 
I don't know though because how would his videos get out to the right people? He would have eventually, but I think NS has definitely gown and sped up the newschool scene by great amounts.
 
he would have blown up THIS year, but i mean, ive known that kid has been killing it for like 3 years. he's already blown, and has been for a few seasons now. no one would have had any idea about IHATENY crew if it werent for this website
