Since everyone here seems so much more concerned with banning people and arguing. I think we should start a Forum where someone posts a case to have someone banned (say for hurting thier feelings because somebody said "suck 12 inch cock"). A mod will then make an official statement calling for evidence and then will overlook everybody who decides to debate whether or not this member should be banned or if a thread should be deleted. THEN, I kinda like this part, Doug gets to come in a make a final decision on the matter. He could even post a little animated picture of a mallet hitting a desk when he's decided.
 
Thats not the point. What if I have a personal beef with someone, and I know a mod. I could have someone banned injustly. It needs to be fair and just and democratic just like our fair country.

People dont need to be banned. They need to learn to use some common sense and decency and daresay POLITENESS on the forums. If you ban them without fixing the community, more people will just step in. We need to fix the community, not start banning people left and right.

As for the court, no way. Mods are mods. The entire site doesnt get to vote to keep them in power. Its not a popularity contest. Mods are mods because they've shown good traits, responsible behavior and a will to see this site be greater than it ever has been. They were chosen because they have demonstrated they want NS to be the best ski website out there. Let them do their job. If you have a problem with someone, message a mod and they'll consider it. Nobody is going to be banned or have posts removed without due reason.

Mods are some of the most dedicated people on this site (other than the admins of course). They dont need to prove anything to anyone, and an internet court is beyond outrageous, especially on this site.

if some haven't figured this out. it might have been a joke. BUT! It has done what it was supposed to do. A fully intellectual post including reason and passion. It's been quite a while. Thank you Rowen.

Hahahahaha. It sounds like you want mod-like powers and want some people banned. But the real reason I responded to this thread: Rowen, what is being talked about behind the scenes right now?
 
Negative threads created just to invoke a response is lame - IMO you are part of the problem, not the solution.
 
negative? it wasnt negative. it was mundane and random and silly and somewhat creative. if you don't like satirical humour i'm sorry. but i was just trying to bring out the level headedness in people, and it worked. read rowen's response. it's beautiful. there's alot of intellectual posts on here, but what have they been made up of lately. JDMay's smooth, and smart style of ripping people apart? Rowen didn't hate shit. You on the other hand have been the first person to hate in here. Unfortunately because you are usually level headed. Don't you think there seems to be a lot of energy put towards arguing and banning people lately. (i dont hate mods, they just do our handywork)
 
If that is your opinion of this thread then so be it. I suspect, that you are the only one who feels this way about your thread, I could be wrong, I am sure there others that think the same way. It is my opinion that very few good things happen in a "court", therefore I think your suggestion to hold court is a negative way to handle ........... what? something negative to begin with?

did yo uread anyones responses? you and one other person took it seriously. It did not breed engatively, it raised Rowen's reply. I guess you could say it bred the negativity that you are showing, but i think you had that in you all along.
