Any of you out there? Deer season is upon us, and I am personally doing my part to help feed the hungry.... what about the rest of you bow hunters, any success?

It is field dressed and weighed in at 130lbs. In city hunts are limited to antlerless deer only and you can shoot an unlimited amount. I do it for the thrill, the deer are donated to the food shelter so I try and kill as many as I can in order to help feed the hungry and prevent over population within the city

ive been known to kill a few turkeys in my day. for instance, a family of turkeys wanders into my yard, the next thing they know im getting a dome shot with a potato cannon. no bow and arrows, strictly potato cannon, paintball gun, rocks, and mortar fireworks, and my car

i think that qualifies...

who here watched that movie in drivers ed. about road rage with the guy that got mad and killed another driver with a crossbow

I remember that... wasn't he a priest or preacher or something. Just reaches into the back of his trunk and pulls out a crossbow... I would shit my pants if that happened to me. He had some kind of special arrows in it too.

OMG YOU KILLED BAMBIE!

haha jokes.

the park i work at just put in a HUGE archery range, with shooting scenes in the woods, open fields everything.. makes me want to get a bow and learn how to shoot. but i dont realistically expect that to happen. haha

hahaha. i remeber that. but i was thinking of that russian talent show clip that was posted on here like a week ago.

Hunting is cool, i don't get why people are so against it. I guess they feel its more reighteous to have someone else kill their meat for them. Personally, I'm a vegetarian normally, and I only eat meat when I kill it myself. I don't see anything wrong with eating meat really, I'm just against how the US meat industry is set up. Now, there isn't much hunting around here and I don't have any guns, so that basically comes down to fish, but same thing applys.

I'm a damn good shot with a recurve bow. Shot hunting bows a few times to varying degrees of success, I'm better with a recurve (reletively of course). Sights and pulleys and everything, F T, too complicated. If I knew anyone that hunted though I'd go along and I'd eat the shit out of whatever we shot.

Just got me a new bow this year so i'm good to go:

Where did you do the city hunt, Muscatine? I was late on the jump and missed the class for the Coralville hunt up here, so now I gotta wait for regular season. I got me a nice buck Ive been watching all year.

Yes I city hunt in Muscatine. Is that a darton? Dont see to many of those. I shoot an HCA Speed Pro. Just doubled up on two more tonight.
