i go to pinkbike, and on their forum at this time they have 41 total users, like 17 guests and 20 users and some hidden shit, and have nver had more than 300 users online at once, including guests. Right now on a sunday at 11:40 there are over 400 people online, this web page gets a shit load of traffic. Why doesnt ns try and start up some of the things pinkbike has done, such as sell videos and other stuff to raise some money, i know that i would by movies from here and clothing if it was more accesible, i mean people are buying lots of stuff from pinkbike, and they have not nearly as many people logging on... ns should raise some capital and sponsor a show

one more thing, i cant stop speaking, i dont want ns to be sellout bastards, but just because they try and raise some serious cash does not mean their sellouts, u think that is they sell SKI movies and do things to make money related to SKIING there sellouts? i think if ns found a way to make alot of money, enought to sponsor events and such they could be a huge force in the industry, i mean were 50000 strong and counting

Thanks for the ideas dbstar, I'm taking a look at pinkbike right now. We're working on a number of things to help out NS financially, and it's always good to have new ideas.

And to whoever said NS isn't all about money- truth, but it's nice to eat every once in a while, too.

I see where he is comin from though some interesting points if nuthin else. NS could easily take advantage of different appoaches to money making!

Pete is currently sulking around Mt. Hood, shooting with Poor Boyz Productions and hitting on Kristi Leskinen. She hates guys, Pete lamented, so it’s not going good. Apparently Canada isn’t the only thing that’s tough for Pete to get into.

There should be a few people who help with marketing for NS. I know that Doug is VP of sales but I'm sure if he had a few people around him they could come up with some awsome ideas on ways to make money.

 
there is one other idea i had, it might have been said here or elsewhere, i think it is also something i heard in the biking world but im not sure. NS could also make a movie of their own, and could recruit certain athletes to possibly film themselves or not, from what i have heard there are quite a few people on NS who seem to have the resources to capture some very decent film and the talent as well. I dont know if it would be succesful but i would by such a movie myself

just to add to that, if NS had their own homegrown film that they were able to make relatively cheap it would, and i might be really far off on this but NS is sponsered by certain companies that could possibly contribute as well, it would also encourage users to donate and such, i dont know... lots of ideas

and seeing how NS is mainly focused on a park style of skiing u wouldnt need to rent heli's or anything ridicoulous like that, and again there seems to be a decent amount of people on here who have a very high level of skill, some of whom would probably be willing to contribute)
