Video's not completely off base, I'd bet coumo's security guards will have more than 7 rounds in their side arm too, double standards all over the place, but unfortunately what are you gonna do
 
I generally support the NRA, but I believe the message behind this video is lacking. Also, it is spelled "ad" not "add."

But this isn't something new. Most schools have been gun-free zones for a long time, and I would wager the president's kids have also been protected by guards for a long time, not just under Obama. It's a terrible argument
 
hes pushing his new laws through making the common person believe their child is in danger. so if all children are in danger shouldnt they all be protected equally?

if they arent in danger then why would we need restrictions?

i mean as much to my mom as his daughters mean to him
 
True I would like to protect my family if need be. I don't have security guards with guns so I would need to take it on myself to protect my kids. So for example, in the case of a home invasion or kidnapping, I would like to have a firearm to contain a possible threat to my kids. You know?
 
i didnt even watch the ad because it has nothing to do with what im talking about. youre so quick to make a person attack on me its flattering. rather than be an emotional teenager with a gripe why dont you try and respond like an adult? just a thought

i will go step by step to help you understand my point

1) Obama is telling us our children are in danger. am i wrong?

2) His children are in danger as well, yet they are protected by security guards with guns at school, at home, at all times

3) somehow it is ok for his daughters to be protected by guns at schools but not the millions of children else where. shouldnt there be an armed officer at all schools? i mean, all those kids are in enough danger that we need all these new laws to protect them, no? but the laws themselves arent good enough to protect his family. so are his daughters worth more than the millions of children elsewhere?

4) if he wasnt using children as victims i wouldnt give two shits. i just dont like preying on peoples emotions

stop with the respect bit. thats an arguement you make when you dont have a leg to stand on. im sure theres some grammar for you to correct while youre at it
 
just watched the add. its completely different dimwit. the NRA isnt using 20 dead 1st graders to do anything. they arent calling for more guns. Obama is using the bodies of a bunch of kids to push an agenda. there's a big difference there. it doesnt matter if its common practice. its sickening. murdered 6 year olds should not be exploited like that

and i guess the ad pretty much says exactly what i said. the difference between you and i is that i didnt need an ad to tell me about the topic. i already knew all i need to know about the topic
 
Holy shit yessssssss!! I've always said, why does the president think he's so important, driving around with like 8 armed cars and always having multiple security guards. He is a FUCKING HYPOCRITE and if he was a real american and not some foreign born idiot we would all have multiple security guards like him!!

it's like, if I want to save seals, I am going to use clubbed seals to push regulation.. because if there were no clubbed seals I would have no basis for change. what's so hard to understand about this?
 
At my school in New York we had a police officer with a gun Who was almost always there. I don't see what the big deal is. If you're working for the military or a working police officer take your gun school ground.
 
kids die everyday. 90 people die per day in the US because of guns. this was just an opportunistic time to push his agenda.

i just dont get how nobody gives a shit when a bunch of random dudes get gunned downed separately but when a whole bunch of people are shot at the same time its some so much worse.

 
I had a cop at my high school. he drove a badass 3000 gt. it was sick and he never busted us for leaving campus.

if you wanna protect kids put a cop in every school. do you libs have any idea how fast you can swap mags on handguns? 10 round mags wouldnt have stopped Lanza but a cop might have. smaller mags and no MSRs isnt going to change anything.
 
I agree it's pretty lame how little people care about other deaths, or even minority deaths or foreign deaths (obama ordrs drone strikes which kill hundreds of children and no one blinks)

but as it is, I still think it's not him looking for a time to push his views, I think a lot of people got thinking and made up their views or changed them and he is responding to the reaction of the public. though I don't really believe that electing someone once and then having them do whatever they want is true democracy, I think this instance is more of a response to public outrage than him being opportunistic

you can still be opportunistic in holding your ground and influencing public opinion. also just keeping things the way they aren't isn't a neutral stance, it's a stance for what exists.
 
Well the ad just said put armed guards and schools I don't know why anybody would oppose that other than the reason being it's very expensive.

Criminals are who they are because they break laws why in the hell would anyone believe a new law would change criminals actions all it will do is restrict law abiding citizens.
 
by this commercials logic, because the president has multiple armed guards guarding him at all times. Why can't everyone in the united states have armed gaurds!
 
take one of the cops sitting on the side of the road with his radar gun and put his ass in a school. but theres no money to be made in protecting kids

If more guys are armed and protecting schools, then that just makes it that much easier for psychos who want to kill children, to get in close.

I mean... some dude could just be so fucked in the head, he does whatever he can to be hired as an armed security guard at a school, and goes on a shooting spree. Knocks off the other guards first, and then rampages around like Arnold Schwarzenegger in "commando"

If Fort Hood can happen, and Sandy Hook can happen, then the two could easily be merged...

If someone wants to go on a shooting spree, they're going to do it. Whether you have armed security or not... It's a crock of crap.
 
this arguments over him taking guns in retarded. what he proposed to do is to ban assault rifles and enforce background checks. While the ban on assault rifles is controversial (who the fuck really needs an assault rifle doe?) there should definitely be strict background checks and if you disagree with that you're an idiot
 
Damn usually I dont agree with a thing you say but I could not agree more. I cant believe I voted for Obama less than 4 months ago. This gun regulation and double standards are reall pissing me off.
 
I was listening to the radio the other day and they were talking about all of this. they mentioned that the school that Obama's kids attend has 11 armed security guards IN ADDITION to the secret service agents protecting his children. so apparently armed guards are OK for rich kids, but not everyone else's kids?

Also, we had an armed police officer at my high school all 4 years. I don't understand what the big deal is with that.

This whole gun control argument is a bunch of shit. I will guarentee the assault weapons ban will not happen.. At least the ban on assault RIFLES.

Did you guys not have a cop at your (public) highschool every day?? We had at least 1 at all times sometimes 2. They were chill as hell and I got out of at least one traffic ticket by way of having bullshitted with them at school a time or two and them knowing me. But they would smoke your ass if you tried shooting people I'm sure. We also had K-9 roaming the parking lots where kids parked every week. The funny thing is the teachers all thought that part was BS so they would quietly be like 'oh its drug dog day today' and laugh as some poor fuck would conveniently have to go to the bathroom right away lol. I just can't believe ten years after I graduated this is being discussed like its controversial I always thought it was standard procedure.
