Now that the Gaucho is gone

I was disappointed to see 4frnt remove the Gaucho from their product line this year as I planned on purchasing them for my all mountain ski. I still very much enjoy the park, riding switch, etc. so I'm looking for a ski that can potentially replace this. My current quiver consists of K2 Shreditor 102's at 184, 4frnt Devastators at 184, and 4frnt InThaynes at 186. The Shreditor 102 is simply too soft and the MSP is a directional ski. I'm looking for a waist preferable between 100 and 102, but would settle for 98 and up. Any recommendations for a super stiff twin tip with the waist I'm looking for? Appreciate any feedback or input.

Moment PB&J sounds right up your alley. I got a pair and have like 3 days on them, so far they are pretty substantial underfoot but still very fun and poppy.

Been on my PB&J's for 4 seasons now. My every day ski. It's stiffer than the Shreditor, but softer than the Gaucho for sure.

You could look at the Sego Big Horn 96/106. Not sure on some flex comparisons, but they are stiff and I could get some flex comparisons if you want. PB&J is a solid ski though....the 188 is pretty capable ski like those above said

The Vandal looks like it's the exact same thing as the Gaucho. 186 Vandal (129/102/124, 2100g) vs 186 Gaucho (129/102/124, 2100g), the 179 and 172 are identical as well. I'm not that familiar with 4frnt but it looks like it could just be a rebranding.

Not the same ski. Vandal has no metal and is significantly softer than the Guacho

Im going from the gaucho to the vandal this season (hoping they arrive soon!)

looking forward to trying these as they claim to be softer (then the metal in my guachos....)

that being said I love my gauchos and they do great on everything i ski here locally (mid atlantic)

I had the Gauchos at 186 and had to get them warrantied when they delamed after only 15-20 days of use last season. Luckily 4FRNT validated the warranty but they can't replace the gauchos since they don't make them anymore. I opted for the 184 Devastators, I can't wait until they show up.

OP - How do you like the devy's? i ski the east so I don't know if a fully rockered ski is going to be the way to go every day but i'm hoping the reflect tech is going to make up for that when I'm stuck rippin hard snow.

Devy’s are my favorite ski I’ve ever ridden. Absolutely bomb proof and handle all conditions. Such a fun, fun ski.

Read that you have Inthaynes.

How are they dude!?!? I picked up a pair, but haven't found any reviews! Gonna be skiing them here in a few weeks, but just wondering what you think?

Also, isn't the Vandal pretty close to the gaucho?
