Nova Scotia University Rail Jam

Hey Im at school at Stfx in NS an we are putting togeather a rail jam comp if there is enough interest. Basically whats shakin down is that we want to get one team from each University in the province to come here to X to ride and party. A team will consist of at least two people with no more than three people to a team. There will be separate catagories for both skiing and snowboarding so two teams from each school will be allowed to compete, one for each catagory. Comp format will consist of two hits from each rider in the prelims with 5 of the top skiers and 5 of the top riders getting an additional two hits in the finals. This is to shake down after everyone rides the hit for a little while... Anyways just trying to get a feel for if this would interest anyone. I cant give more details about it yet since not everything has been confirmed. In terms of teams if you want to put togeather a team drop me a line VIA e-mail with your team (a list of names).... if we get more than one entry from a university we will decide with those teams who will go.

Ok X is totally stoked.... I have been in contact with the Events coordinator and he will be working out logistics like liability issues and stuff all this week but things are looking great up here... all we need is some snow... in terms of dates we talked about late january early february... try to work it around everyones midterms... So start putting togeather your teams and getting the word out... Once we have the go ahead from the University we will put togeather the posters and start spreading the word... If you think you might already have a team togeather feel free to send me some names and contact info for these people...

Also if your at Dal you need to hit up Chris V. in engineering since I know he will be bringin a team... and spread the word of this to any snowboard friends since we will be swingin both ways...

 
your gunna have to have crazy prizes for this to work cuz otherwise it wont be worth it for everyone to bus there with all ure shit and pay to enter a rail jam
 
One Team of three skiers and one team of three snow boarders from each University. Unless there is a ton of interest in which case we might be able to let more than one team in. Also in terms of schwag I have no idea what we are going to have yet but I can say that we are going to try and arrange some sort of Bus or something from Halifax for all of the riders. If you are comming from Acadia or CBU we might also be able to make some arrangements.
 
yo this sounds sick, i am at stfx right now in first year. I will most defenitly be attending this any idea of what kind of setup there will be? I have been suggesting this for a while to people not knowing this was already being planned. So far i have heard lots of interest from people here at x.
 
No confirmed setup yet but we are going to try and use the staircase in front of the library since its a decent rail, though it is steep. Also its like the most central staircase in the whole campus since it connects upper and lower campus. But like anything we are still waiting on confirmation from the university.
 
Hey is this teddy? ha i must not have fully understood what you were talkin bout, i thought you were just talking about sesssioning it that would be sick if this went down tho.
