Note to self

i did that too BSS, except in my p12's and it hurts like a motherfucker.

slammed it right on the nail, blood filled up underneath and shit i thought it was going to fall off. i still have no feeling in it, feels like a stump when i used it to pick things up.

this happened last week.
 
i've done it multiple times. sucks enormous balls. your fingers become instantly flat and considerably longer for a few days. you have my sympathy.
 
ahah did it once on my old pivots, everytime i touched the heelpiece w/ hands after that i would remember to watch the fingers
 
o man. i did that exact same thing. i was at my desk, idly procrastinating playing with my unmounted bindings. smashed my finger between the arms and it took 5 minutes just to get it off. lost the fingernail from it and felt pretty dumb.

Sympathies for the creator, just keep in mind you're riding the sickest binding ever.
 
Dear god, I've seen fist-hand the horror stories that come from p18 finger slams. God, so dangerous. All for the best binding out there.
 
Oh yeah, i did that like a week after i got my bindings. The heel enganed, and my middle finger got caught between the heelpiece that that metal loop at the back of the heel. I have a pic of my finger somewhere...
 
It happened in the car, on the way to the airport for our vacation. It snapped me in the car, and i couldnt get it off. Ofcource, my brother snowboards and has no clue how to dis-engage a heel, and well, my parents were of no help either. I just pulled it out. It was really flat, and then just swelled up with blood.

Hahah, my dad brought home is new skis a long time ago and he was showing them to his friends and snapped his finger in. I think he got stitches.
 
ha..I did the same thing with a Rossi Pro 180 binding like a month ago. Tons of tiny blood spots showed up on my thunb...worst pain ever, although it is ok now
 
Happened to me last week. Weirdest expierience of my life. like after i got my fuckign finger out of there, there was an indent in my finger that went all the way down to the bone, an dmy bone stopped it. I was just standing there lookign at my finger thinging "holy shit, that shouldn't be possible." then everythign went blury and i fainted. Fucking weird, first time I've ever fainted.
 
Weirdest thign is that it never even started hurting really. it just hurt, and still does to teh touch. right now it's a fucked up scabby thing.

i think everyone has had that problem at one time or another..

except for the kid that made that post becuase he obviously snowblades, hence no finger slamming, therfore he has no sympathy...
 
My finger was flat for a few hours, then just swelled up in the hotel room. It really hurt on the plane too, like badly. It was throbbing, and i didnt have any tylenol on me either.
 
Just so you all know, Karma came back and bit me in the ass. I just did the same thing and am feeling your pain now.
 
Oh shit...yeah I have definitely done that before, two of my fingernails were like completely black and fell off after a while, that hurts so bad...I am so careful when i mess with my p12s now...
 
I have a question to all of you this has happened to before. I just did it for the first time tonite and it still kills. How long does it actually hurt for? I know I will have a puple nail for six months but I've heard it's only painful for a week or less. Is this true?
 
I snapped mine at the end of april, and it was purple under the nail until late september. It only hurt for a few days.
