It's ashame he had to take his life. Seems like he had so much to live for, but maybe now he is truly free.

And as far as the quote from the other guy about letting your skis guide you, I totally agree. After the death of my dad I've had some really tough times, but everytime i step into my bindings, step onto my surfboard, step onto my skateboard, or get up on my mountain bike, I feel a sort of peace i can't get anywhere else. Although all of these sports are 'action' sports and are viewed as high speed high intesnsity activities, i really get a different perspective on my life, and really realize what i'm living for.

and although i didn't know the kid, or what he was going through, here's a quote from a Flipsyde song that might explain how he was feeling.

Calling someone a pussy over the internet because they decided to end there life is such a cowardly move. i mean jesus have some respect, he was obviously going threw allot. In the past few years there has been something like 4 suicides in my town from kids that went to my high school and I've seen what it does to families and friends its sickening.

hahaha you sound like such an idiot saying he's one of my best friend's cousins.... he's hardly connected to you. I hate to say it but Trey Banner automatically loses respect in my book, killing yourself is a cowardly move a cowards way out. He had trouble with his parents big deal that's nothing unusual, instead of escaping from the problem why not try to fix it? If that wasn't doablehe could have escaped from the problem in a civilized manner. It's terrible that such a young person and from what the people in this thread testify to an inspiration and an all around good guy had to take his life. I don't condone what he has done but it's sad to see him go RIP TREY BANNER
 
so if a good friend of yours was depressed and you walked into a room, and said good friend had a gun to his head and was gonna commit suicide, you would just respect his decision?

people are not thinking rationally or logically when they are contemplating suicide. If you are dealing with such heavy shit that you're talking about, a reasonable decision is not going to be made
 
not cool.....my friend and his bro looked up to him so much...my friend was always talking about how cool his cousin trey was...his death hit close to home. why would i sound like an idiot?
 
everybody calm down this is obviously a controversial topic but it wont help to freak out after anyone states their opinion, i disagree with what people have said too, but its just as immature if you go quote them and tell them how much of a faggot they are
