Kids aged 3, all the way 60 year old women - everyone heard what went down in Aspen this year. Shit's going global!

just stop. they meant dub cork 16. so they misspoke. no need to go OMG HENRIK DID ONE!!!! or the frenchie who did a forward 16 before that.

Good highlights, but for fucks sake! Those people were obviously told what to say, they clearly hadn't a fucking clue what they were talking about!

no he said a 1620 a spin that big has never been done before and i was think not think of henriks 1620 i was thinking of the cork 1620 done 3 years ago

X games is where the olympics is headed. If the olympics doesent change their buisness model soon they will die with their customer. X games is going global this year which shows it's following. No one really cares about mens short program that much. NBC needs to do a better job filling their prime time tv spots. If I was their advertiser I'd be pissed if that was the best thing they could come up with for prime time tv.

how the fuck do you know and yes i get mad when people get paid a lot of money to speak on national t.v and mess up, and he did not mean dub cork he said never has a 1620 even been attempted in any comp.

errrrrrrrrrrrrr... I bet there are more people globally that care about mens short programs, or like nordic combined than who care about anything at the Xgames. Plus even though that audience may die, their money does not... and thats what really matters. people die, money doesn't and that money still will go to the same rich old crackers who will exclude skier halfpipe because they feel they would need to cancel someone else who has given them money for decades.

Having said that, it is more and more about TV ratings. So if pipe goes crazy this year and the whole world watches, maybe there is a better chance of some change. They said at the last Olympics that halfpipe sold out before anything else did. (possibly because of the limited capacity) I wonder what the tv ratings were then, and if they will compare to what happens this year.

Mens halfpipe snowboarding will almost certainly have the highest viewing figures of any event at these olympics. I believe it was second highest at Turin.

I can not find any data to support your claim, but neither to support the opposite. so who knows. I am pretty sure the 730 million europeans, 1.4 billion chinese, 382 million south americans, and 142 million russians... only a fraction of all these populations who have tv's are more interested in the sports that represent their countries interests. Unless it is the only thing on, snowboarding halfpipe probably isnt on the top of the list for these people. More people own tv's and speak english in china than in all of north america, so that would probably be the main audience outside of north america and europe watching the games, if they can receive any coverage at all that is.

The "Sickter Scale" hahahaha. I'm going to start rating everything on that scale. "Hey honey, this pasta is off the Sickter Scale."
