Not another fat rockered ski thread

Actually it is. Sorry for the deceiving title. but really i do need help. I've looked at reviews, search barred enough to fry my brain, and talked to everyone i can. But, I still can't decide. I've got a couple of skis that I'm interested in. I've got spk skis for park days and i have rossi scratch bcs, but i want to sell those and get a fatter, rockered ski.

First of all, i should tell you about myself. I am 5' 10" and about 140. I'm a aggressive enough skier, but I don't really charge a whole bunch. I want to get a longish ski and center mount, or close to center mount it. Here the skis im kinda looking at.

The moment bibby pro. its length is 186 and here are the dimensions 143-115-134.

K2 Hellbent. probably 179 and its 150-122-141

volkl chopstick 185 and its 148-128-148 (more hesitant because of bad reviews)

faction royale 183 and its 150-120-140 (i think thats the dimensions for it, found them on a poster)

salomon czar 182 and its 128-108-118 (hesistant also due to only front rocker)

line sir francis bacon at 182 and its dimensions are 142-115-139

i know thats a lot of stuff to think about, but i truly want to spend my money on something that is worth while and that i will like. thanks a ton, and i'll give karma to anyone who contributes (positively haha)

oh and possibly the atomic bentchetler. but i think thats not possible, at least for a little bit. but i think that its 183, dimensions are 142-123-132

honestly, i would say bacons or hellbents. Jonathan wont be mad if you copy him or me. you will have the most fun on a softer ski, but i dont know the flex of the others

If you can swing it get a reverse sidecut ski. I'd definitely get a rockered ski though.

The best situation for a (3 ski) quiver is:

1. Park/groomer ski with a waist of under 90, unless it's Anthems

2. All mtn. ski that can handle pow. Waist of 105-115ish, can handle groomers aight and pow, and maybe park if you want

3. Pow only ski, reverse sidecut, rocker, the works. Over 120 underfoot.

For a 2 ski quiver, just do the same as above minus the pow only ski. So don't get a reverse sidecut ski unless you already have 2 other skis.

id be inclined to disagree with you there on the 2 ski quiver. hellbents are versatile enough to compliment his park skis for his second pair. id assume bibbys / benny's new atomic ski would be as well, but i haven't ridden them.

Ahh, yes, I just meant that don't get a reverse sidecut unless it's a third ski. Bents are a fantastic 2 ski quiver ski, as are Bibby's, or anything with sidecut and can handle groomers. I wasn't that clear sorry.

Bents in a 79 would be pretty killer. DOnt listen to people who will tell you to go 89, its just sooooo much ski. haha, we measured the 79's to my buddies 85 steezes, theyre the same length standing next to eachother. So I am not sure where K2 gets off with their sizing, but thats neither here nor there.

You could do bibby's too, I just got some and they have kind of a medium flex, are light, and the rocker is honestly a good amount. Its not cartoonish like the bents, but I think will work great considering the dimensions, and its plenty wide for your weight.

maybe look at the cholostomy or whatever that is rockered from amplid too.

yeah Jonathon would only rip your balls off then give them to Madelyn. Personally i would just go with your spk's

189

the effective edge on the hellbent is so short compared to the ski size, 189 kills everything!

trust me, im not a shifty eyed puerto rican
