Nosemute and fast spinning

Well, I finally got the nosemute this weekend and I´m so happy since this was the one grab I always wanted to learn. I did it numerous times on a maybe 25-30foot kicker with a 540 and mostly got it almost to the tip of the ski. The only problem I have with it is: I cant do it in faster spins, such as 7ens and 9s. I can do every spin up to 10 with regular mute, grabed differently at the binding of the ski, but when I tried several 7en nosemutes my spinning speed always slowed down and I crashed badly. My first thought was that spinning fast with nosemute is impossible/fucking hard, but then I remembered seeing andreas hatveit doing a perfect cab14 nosemute at JOI or tjs nosemutes. Well, my question is, is that a problem only I have? is spinning fast with nosemute really that hard or is there a trick how to do it?

thx

do u grab and slide up? and you have to throw the spin harder than normal because nose grabs slow your spin down

that grab isnt meant for taking off regular. show me a vid where a pro does it regular. its meant for taking off switch. cuz the ski just helps your momentum. i dunno. try it with switch rotations. it feels (and looks) waaaaaaaaay better.

didn´t thing about using it in switch spins, cuz I´m not safe enough in switch spins to use it there. and yes, I grab in the middle between my binding and the nose and slide up

Hard to say without watching you, but you may be grabbing too early, causing you to set the spin and close off your shoulders. Watch Pk do forward 7 tipcritical, same idea...

I'm gonna have to agree with this. You're probably not bringing them around because the table is too small. If you're not comfortable with switch spins, instead of trying to hucks 9s with a good grab, learn switch 5s with that same grab.
