Ok, so I've been doing a lot of nose presses and buttering lately and I notcied today that the rear 2 screws on both my heelpieces were literally ripped out of the ski. I could see little wood splinters from the core sticking out! WTF?? Has this happened to anyone else, can I warranty this shit?

they're my Volkl Walls btw so I'm pretty pissed

Doubtful you will be able to warranty them. What you can do is take your heelpieces off, heli coil the holes, and put your heelpiece back on.

Normally you probably wouldn't be able to warrentee them, as sean said, but Volkl knows they fucked up on the park skis and the fat "katana" this year (they are all weak as hell) so wouldn't be surprised if you could warrentee them

One of my friends had his bindings rip out of his Walls the first or second day he had them.

Well it looks like I'm not the only one then...I'm gonna try and warranty them....btw they are Volkl Walls with Z12 Ti bindings

what size are your boots if they are big they could be out of the mounting plate and potentially why they ripped out. just helicoil them they will be good as new.

this also happend to me but i just had to short of screws and they were just barly in so it was kinda our fault i just epoxyed my next screws and put them in and theve been in ever since

shitty luck. u DID have your bindings center mounted... if not it would make sense cos walls are centered skis so bindings would not stay on if they were in wrong spot..

Yea yea my skis are mounted dead center....anyways, I took my skis in to the shop today and they're getting heli coiled this weekend....he said they should be stronger than ever....

I'm hesitant to nose press/butter now though :|

agreed. volkl doesnt take shit back for warranty. id be mad bummed, my walls are ill and anything froma de-lam to a screw pop would piss the shit out of me.
