Northstar Parks

Okay guys, sorry for yet another post on this.....

Some people say northstars parks are "the best in tahoe" and others say they are terribly set up and maintained. Whats your opinion?

All I know is I see some decent stuff in some of the movies, but in a lot of NS videos and pictures I have seen it looks like there is a lot of ride on boxes with no landings or cratered landings.

Basically Im poor after dropping 549 on alpine midweek, and 199 on boreal midweek. I cant even ski saturdays at all on that, and Im curious if buying the double whammy is going to be worth it.

As of now I can ski alpine mon-fri, and boreal sun-fri.

double whammy is sick. Sierra is fun for a few days but northstar is fun for a while longer than that.

Parks at sierra usually shape up to be pretty good arround mid season, same for n*

The craters and carved-up lips are a result of too many people. Northstar gets super-crowded. That's the only problem I had w/ it last year. If you can get up on the weekdays, maybe you'll have better luck.

i think n* has the sickest jibs around. all have super mellow lips and they are super smooth. but the lift lines suck dick. anbd the moonshine run has some decent sized tables, like 40-60ft and a massive hip, like 90ft (at least they did last year) plus an uber sick half pipe

the stuff you see in the movies is the end of the year park they make for poorboyz shoots after the mountain closes. you won't actually get to ski those features that you see in the movie. northstar does have a lot of jibs, but alpine's jibs are set up better. plus alpines jumpline is the best i've hit. i don't like the northstar jumps that much. super short landings.

N* has some pretty sick boxes and rails on the weekends it's just filled with tons of people. i personally don't really like goin in there on the weekend just because everywhere you look is crowed. i'd prefer sierria when they open up the bashfull park. crazy jumps a huge 100ft hip, a pretty good wall, and nice boxes.

Northstars park is pretty mediocre. The jibs are mostly set up for beginners except for a select few, also their stuff isn't maintained well. The biggest hit they have is maybe 50 and that is pushing it. The park is kind of fun to mess around on, but way too many people that get in the way.

When I was there they had a really sick pipe and good rails. Jumps were MUCH better at alpine though last year.

not worth it for the weekends, the lift that services the park is rediculously crowded.

its a high speed, but the line makes it seem otherwise.

Yeah....I heard that there are going to be a lot of people there this friday, so you probably shouldn't go, plus the Billy will be there, and that guy is annoying in every sense of the word.

I rode NSTAR on friday, and Sierra on saterday. Nstar was lackin a bit, but usually they have some pretty sick jibs(rainbow box, rainbow c rail. . . ) They are pretty consistant in the setup of everything, so its pretty sick, but their jumps are pussy and its too flat and crowded. I much prefere sierra, even though they dont have as creative of jibs, they still have some fun stuff and the terrain is defiently better.

i was at N* on fri. too... on red fujis reppin' DC camo suit. the park was kinda whack, but it wasn't tooo bad.

Yeah, I had dark green jacket and black pants and shiny blue aframes. I was on 05 public enemys that were way short. I was huckin 7s on that mini table.

I dont even care, when Kirkwood has everything up, they have the sickest and biggest slopestyle jumps out there..

Sierra has the best pipe tho...

I think the nightpark at boreal is still gonna be sicker.. just cuz they have a good reputation for it to be.

neither of them could take Mt. High's park tho...

Last year i had a pass to northstar and i was not impressed as years in the past so i got a pass to alpine meadows instead one of the best choices i have ever made... they got sick jumps
