Northstar free ride team

Dude.. the Water is cold no matter what in SC.

It stays between 55 and 65 depending on the season. Its just the way the current is.

If your going surfing for more than say.. 20 mins, I highly suggest a wetsuit.

Either way, I live in the Bay Area, which is closer to Surfing, yet I still ski more than surf...

I love both sports though, from the bottom of my heart.

where is good surfing in the bay? its something ive always wanted to try....

doubt ill get much into it, cause skiing is my number one and wakeboarding is my number two and that takes up the whole year....but id still like to try.

I love peeing in my wetsuit. It's worth wearing one just for that super-warm sensation. Anyone wanna buy my wetsuit?

last year i rode with them a few times and they wanted me to get on the team but the whole buying my way onto a team didnt float my boat.

Naw.. fuck Half Moon dude. There are so many better places.

Capitola is a sick place to go. So many different places where the waves break.

Rio Del Mar is really good too if you have some balls and want to learn on some consistantly 5ft+ waves.

Monterey sucks, so dont even go there. Too much rip current for a beginner.

Half Moon has a lot of places, but it is either nothing or a lot. It wouldnt be good for a beginner.

Pacifica is pretty good, just be careful of rocks.

I dont know. I learned down in Huntington beach, which I still consider the best place to learn and surf because its so wide and consistant.

I would go down there and learn, and then come back up to Norcal.

I've always wondered, is it rock or sand at Pacifica? Or reef? Well, maybe not reef, but i have no idea whats under those waves cause I've never been in it.

Its kinda weird there.. its like...

sand mixed with rock kinda. Iono. Its different.

Def. not reef though.. reef would kill you because if you fell, you basicly are going to come out in pieces

Either way, it makes for some really cool waves.

Hunington sucks ass!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is the worst wave in CA.

Blown out beach break with a million gapers on thier boogeyboards.

You obviosly don't surf. Hunington is good and Monterey sucks? That is the funniest shit I've read in a while. That's like saying Soda Springs is better than Squaw. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

hey dont be hatin on soda that place is ghetto... and i think there is a screw loose on top of your wallride, it almost ended my life today.

Well, out of all the places in Monterey I have been to, they all blow chunks.

I dont know, maybe it was shitty surf that day anyway, but im gathering this from my experience.

Also, this is winter. There arent many "gapers" out there on the water this time of the year. Now, if we were talking summertime, I would say screw surfing in huntington, santacruz, mission beach, any of those places and just go and hit up the North Coast, where there are some SICKK surf spots and nobody around.
