Does anyone ski northstar? Im going there in February, and i was wondering if there park is looking good! and if they are getting any snow?

I ski Northstar, and I think the park is lookin pretty sick right now. It will get crowded, but I'll be crusin through the Vertical Plus line.

I'm pretty sure the park will always be better at Mammoth. Just know that Mammoth is not Tahoe and it takes a while to get there.

Yeah there park will be money. You should also go check out the park at Alpine Meadows. Jonahs builds an amazing jump line.

Northstar's park will be great in February. There will be enough snow for bigger jumps and more rail features. Check out Squaw too. Better jump lines at Squaw and Alpine IMO.

sorry to thread jack,
but does anybody else notice that a lot of the park riders don't take turns?
You'll be getting ready to drop in and someone will just come bombing down the hill and cut you off.
/small rant.

just a question about northstar and didn't want to start a new thread. i'm flying in for a conference in san fran in march and have an extra day to get out and ride there. i don't want to check my skis and shit and have to lug them around for an entire week for one day out. are there any decent rentals for gear there or nearby? i don't expect to find anything stellar but didn't want to get stuck with a pair of 1974 5mm waisted skis either. any info would be helpful

Porter's in Truckee might be good. If you call them and told them your situation they might make some accomodations for you.
