North Lake Tahoe- looking for a Room to rent

gonna go out on a limb here.....

I just got a job in north lake tahoe. moving to tahoe from boston next week. very short notice. i'm looking around craigslist but does anyone know anyone with a room for rent, immediately? i can wait until Dec. 1 but would be out in tahoe next week, nov. 26.

i'm looking as well, watch closely at the end of the month, as people will be backing out last minute and stuff. what community are you looking to live in and where will you be working?

working at northstar. i've been checking craigslist a LOT and have reached out to some people, but im not gonna be out there till next friday/saturday at the earliest so I'm gonna need to lock something up QUICK once I'm out there. i'm also hoping for a furnished place, since I'm moving with the bare necessities and don't want to have to buy a mattress, etc out there.

overall, I've been surprised by the number of rooms for rent and a lot of them are reasonable in price. just hoping people will let me pro-rate the room, otherwise I'm gonna have to stay in a hotel till the 1st

you have any leads on housing yet?

i work at northstar as well, and a couple leads. nothing solidified as of this point. craigslist really is the best utility to use, and I highly recommend living in truckee, as living in Kings Beach or Incline Village requires crossing over the Brockway summit (267), which ALWAYS has damn chain controls on it.
