North Korea is a more absolute dictatorship than the Nazi's. The leader Kim Jong, has absolute power and does nothing to save his people even when millions of them are dying of starvation. He's worse than stalin. All the people are totally terrified of him and every other word out of the mouths of North Koreans is about how much they love their leader Kim Jong and how they will kill americans. If they suspect you of not completely supporting Kim Jong, then they will send you and you entire family to concentration camps. I think North Koreans hate america as much or more than Al Qaida does, and they have nuclear weapons which is so fucked. Anyways I think the peoples inability to successfully overthrow that bullshit is just pathetic.

anyways im all for letting other countries do whatever they want, but North Korea is such a joke. Kim Jong has 100 private limos from other countries and is the worlds number 1 consumer of hennessy cognac. But he turns down foreign aid to help his own people survive. He just drinks his cognac and lets his people starve to death. What a faggot.

i cant imagine that they probably are not doing it already (well, not with nukes yet, i hope). what i really don't get is that people in America think that we can have diplomatic relations with a country like that, and that we can just sit down and chat with him like we can be buddies. people dont understand that some people in this world really do hate us and we cant come to grasp that concept.
 
the way they hate america so much and the way they are so brainwashed/fearfull from/of thier leader scares the shit outa me. combine the brainwashed people, a crazy leader, and neucular weapons... and it scares me so much

Yup. Fidel Castro overthrew the corrupt American puppet government in Cuba and had as little as a dozen men in his group at one point. It is a good story. If you can inspire will to act in people for a cause they support, you can accomplish much with so little.

I haven't heard about any attempts at internal North Korean revolution, however, if there was such an attempt, I don't think it would be reported.

war with north korea would be very very bad. it would be an actual war. not only do they have the largest army who support what theyre doing 100%, the north korean commandos are comparable to our special forces. which is pretty fucking intense. and it would be their home turf. also north korea is mad fucked up geographically for its size. nice beaches and tropical shit on the coast, and cold ass rugged mountains inland. ya dude. war with north korea = no good, lots and lots of blood, even though its prolly the thing we should be fighting and also darfur shit. imo

I think if you knew a little more about the issues you'd realize there's a lot more to it than sweeping generalizations. My sister's been living in South Korea the past year and a half and has visited North Korea. From what she's told me, her thoughts about the country are pretty far from yours, and she never mentioned feeling any hostility as an american over there.
 
there was this documentery by cnn or something of a eye surgeon/doctor who went in to all these different countries to fix blindness, and when he went into N korea this team followed him stating that it was to document the procedures etc etc

when they got in and fixed all these people in record time like 2000 in 2 weeks they are thanked their leader and didnt mention the doctor, and they were all soooo scared to say anything wrong, they asked this lady if kim could make a wrong decision and she started crying.

Invading Iraq was a joke. Too bad North Korea has a million strong army with a plausible possiblity of Nuclear/ weapons of mass destruction. A modern airforce and a better than decent navy.

North Korea is fucked up, sure, but other countries are far worse off (Rwanda, Somalia, Sudan to name a few). As for the apparent US hatred, I'm inclined to believe its mostly media hype and gabber... but as its impossible to really trust many of the reports coming out of there, who knows for sure.
 
Actually, I'm pretty sure north korea is the one country we have almost no success in as far as covert intelligence operations.

According to this article I read an hour ago, North Korea has the worst dictatorship. Parade is the name of the sub-paper, published by the Bellingham Herald. Sudan is second, and Burma is third.

We dont use our nukes to threaten our neighbors into giving us everything we want. We dont point our nukes at other countries to prevent them from setting up nuclear defenses (i.e. russia). Dude, welcome to world politics. Having a nuclear arsenal does in fact give your country a fuckload of sway. And we're as guilty as any country of setting up nuclear standoffs.

North korean commandos ARE NOT comparable to our special forces. Not even close. I assume by special forces you mean special operations of our military which encompasses a vast array of forces. First of all north korea doesnt even have commandos to begin with. They have the KPA SF (korean people army, sf) in small batallions. their knowledge of woodland combat and guerilla combat is similar to our standard US Army Rangers. Now, no disrespect for Rangers, but only the 75th regiment of rangers is considered USSF.

They are equipped with soviet era ak47s, chinese sks's, druganovs, no body armor, minimal headgear, and primitive camouflage.

Let me tell you, the nametag on just one of our current special operations soldiers is better equipped than the entire KPASF soldier.

Then you have Navy SEALs, Army SFGs, SFODs, 75th Rangers, AF PJs, TACP, Marine FR and MEU, etc etc that are miles beyond KPASF both in training, and DEFINITELY in equipment.

dont even get me started lol.

And compared to fighting people mixed in with civilians in which Rules of Engagement are detrimental, im sure we would stand much better chances against an organized army.
 
how the fuck are we guilty of setting up nuclear standoffs? We have never puppeted the revolution of another island country, ONLY to insert nuclear missiles pointed towards an equally powerful superpower. We have never forced people into our alliance through the use of direct nuclear threat. Russia has and that seems to be the plan with NK too.

I mean yes we have nuclear weapons, but we dont have them pointed at anyone on the offense. Our measures are mostly defensive. We overthrow governments to protect ourselves not to expand our ground. we were begged to join NATO not the other way around.
 
hear of the cold war? yeah, we did that shit for 40 years. although it was for different reasons, we still did it. the US is in no way an innocent country or something. in a sense, we were/in some ways are still like north korea. although it was clear that rowen was just poking a little fun. calm down some dude.

 
most of the shit we get into is not defensive. almost every war we have fought besides a select few have been to stop communism. they did nothing wrong, we just didn't want it. so we decided to overpower them and force them into a democratic government. ever heard of the no tolerance act eisenhower used? we used that and THREATENED other communist countries that if they tried to expand their beliefs, we would nuke them. no warnings, no questions asked. oh and again, quit flipping out.

WE didnt overthrow cuba in order to insert missiles really close to another country. It wouldve been smart for us to capture like japan or something and insert missiles close to russia. We also didnt threaten smaller countries to join us and let us use them for military purposes with nuclear weapons so that we could point missiles at russia. We certainly also didnt want to colonize so to speak smaller countries for economic gain and control of ground like russia did with former ussr countries.
 
eh, im not in the mood to argue, just trying to prove the point that the US isn't some great country that does nothing wrong, we are just as corrupt. i need to go to sleep though so just read my other post as well.
 
everything youre talking about is the result of the truman doctrine which was pressured onto him by other countries, specifically allies of small countries who feared communism. We wanted to be isolationist but nooooo we were too sweet of a country to just waste our powers. And we threatened other communist countries not on the basis of belief, but on the basis that they would allow russia to position nukes on their soil. read up son.

Damnit. Not many things can stop me from eating my Subway but this did. You see... the people. Like any communist country, North Korea has spies who report to the government. It could be your neighbor, your brother, your dad, who knows? The one person who plans an overthrow would be caught straight away, before even a thousand people knew. He'd be dead within a few days, and so would anyone else who had heard of the plans. It would be damn near impossible to overthrow a government who controls their country so tightly.

Try overthrowing a country who's leader doesn't give half a shit about millions of his own people dying. He'd kill 'em all if that's what it took. Unless you were around before Kim Jong's tme, you wouldn't even have a mind to think about freedom. Just like brainwashing someone, the ppopulation would be taught from birth everything the government want it to, and the people probably have no idea what freedom is.

But anyway, that's just my 2 cents. I'm pretty good at seeing one side of a story and missing the whole view, so maybe I missed something, or I'm wrong. But this is what I will think until someone can persuade me otherwise.

Wait, we're the golden standard when it comes to corruption? Other countries must be in the negatives then, the US government is atrocious in terms of waste and corruption.
 
son you need to travel the world way more. Other countries waste at least 100 if not 1000 times as much resources as we do. If you think we have a large national debt, look at every country in the EU, china, and russia. As a percent of our GDP, our debt is about 2.1%. Most other countries run at around 3.6%. Also, were not the only ones with a secret police.

And lastly, at the least we have a system to prevent corruption on a scale like communist countries. We have small power terms and seperate independent branches. To compare a few beneficial side effects to a government who has total control is absurd.
