actually i just got a sick deal for northface (cost -20) thats why i made this thread, i was kinda looking at the parkas and shit, but if this years shit is as tall or near tall as that id be down to find out
 
yeah im getting northface too this year. fuck all the haters who think im wearing it just to be like tom wallisch. they actually make really good quality stuff and its pretty steezy.
 
I won a North Face jacket of my choice last weekend. Just picked up the Flat Spin Jacket. Size Large. I'm 6'2", never had a jacket fit so tall, I kinda like it.

If you're looking into the Gonzo jacket (my first choice), good luck. They're sold right out in Canada in all colours, sizes large and xl.

Might be different if you are in the States though.

Lies... Before Tom Wallisch signed with them, you probably thought that North Face was for gapers and that their quality was way below that of hyphy outerwear companies like First Drop and Saga...
 
North face needs to embrace cotton as the king of tech fabrics before I give them a second look. Though up until now they have only had lame big mountain guys like Sage wearing their lame gear. Now that T.Wall is wearing their stuff. I might have to take a second look. I'm holding out for cotton though.

Anyone know the zipper length on the XL Gonzo?

I've had north face gear for a few years now, it's the tits. Don't bad mouth it coz they mainly aim at a different crowd. Try it and you will love it.
 
Damnit, if someone wants to buy North Face it doesn't mean they want it because of him. I mean, it isn't like they have been making quality stuff for ages or anything. To OP, fuck everyone saying not to get it. If you want it, get it.
 
Yes they've been making quality stuff forever. And if you've supported North Face for years, then yeah that's cool. But if JUST this year, you magically decided North Face was ill, I doubt Tom Wallisch didn't have anything to do with it.
 
Well, if that is the case, whats the problem? Why not support someone who is putting money into our sport? Sometimes I really hate the immature little pricks here on NS. I've had some down jackets from North Face, hands down the warmest piece of clothing I've owned.

It seems like they are refurbishing themselves right now, or atleast branching out, I support that with all of my heart. Not only do they produce high quality clothing, from what I've seen on Wallisch, Martini and some guys in Teton it looks damn good aswell.
 
you mean taking money from the sport. they sponsored tom wallisch because they saw how big the market was getting. they want stupid kids to buy their shit so they can make money and put it back into improving their line of granola gear.
 
Oh nothing's wrong with it. It's just when kids blatantly lie about liking North Face not because of Wallisch... And I hope you're not calling me the little prick. And I do agree, that it's great that they're at least acknowledging our part of the sport...

i bought a jacket 2xl and it just barely reaches like top of my hip. im 5'7"

I have a Large Flat Spin jacket, 33inches zipper length.

I'm 6'2", it goes well past my hips.
 
thank you someone for finally answering the reason i made this thread because i can get that coat for 99$ canadian. not the nicest color ways tho. anyone else have any XL or XXL and know the zipper length of the north face coats. or collar down?
 
I'm not calling you the little prick, those people I call pricks is people who claim to not like North Face now, because Tom rides for them.

Wait a minute, so just because TNF is a big company that supports athletes in all sorts of different sports, not just skiing, its a bad thing that they have gotten themselves into the freestyle game?
 
so....since you all just care about tom wallisch. for the people who actually wanna know, i emailed north face and they told me the: Verdi down Jacket XL Zipper Length: 32 1/3 inches XXL : 34 1/2 inchesFlat Spin Jacket & Bizzo XL : 33 inches XXL : 34 inches
i dont know how accurate these are, can anyone confirm.
