North and South Dakota

Does it suck a long dick to live in either north or south dakota? Do they even have skiing there? I think i would hate to live there

eastern dakotas is pretty rough. i think nodak is rough in general. western sodak has the black hills, might have a ski area or two? im not sure. i have family there ,but would never live there.

I live in South Dakota, and we have a legit little hill called "Terry Peak". It has 3 high speed quads, a triple, and a surface lift. We don't get as much snow as we'd like, but the ski scene here is AWESOME, and so much dedication. Great glade areas, if you aren't a noob and know how to ski. Sure, it's not as good as Utah, Colorado, or Montana, but for a "plains" state it's pretty cool. Here's the website if you want to check it out, we have live controllable webcams too:

No. No, man. Shit, no, man. I believe you'd get your ass kicked sayin' something like that, man.

kidding.

anyway- don't know much about the ski scene, but my family is originally from Pierre and the Black Hills. They got shit like Mt. Rushmore, the Corn Palace, Wall Drug, the Badlands. It's worth going.

I've seen Mt. Rushmore so many times on so many different occasions that the last time my parents had to take us on a helicopter tour right up to the mountain for us to be willing to go. But you have to see it at least once.

basically.....the dakotas suck. and so does eastern montana. but once you hit minnesota, its fucking awesome.

They have fun pow tree runs if you know where to look and it's snowed recently.

If you go even farther than North Dakota, you can come to Manitoba. We ski this:

Then it's a 2 hour drive to get to some half-decent park skiing. I'm guessing that there is less then 50 park skiers in Manitoba, but who gives a shit; we're shaped like a hand:

The black hills have actually cought my attention recently seems like a good alternative climent wise to southern new England

I would never want to live there, but the skiing near Rapid City, Terry Peak is quite decent. Like one poster said its not Utah or Colorado, but the hill skis big, and has some fun spots.
