I usually get intimidated when i see really good park skiers at my hill but the ones that ive actually talked to are usually nice people. One of them saw me eat shit on my attempt on a flat down rail, he was nice enoguh to help me back up and give me a few tips on what i was doing right and wrong. Its people like that who really make a difference and make it a better place for skiers of all levels. I've met a few assholes who chirp after i eat it trying a new spin but after that I see them in the park and they cant throw down anything.
I've also gotten the "skiers are pussies" 101203921903 times from boarders at my school and when i ask them if they do park, backcountry etc. they just say "i just go down the hillz" so i just change the conversation there. When i actually meet good boarders, they have the same respect for me as they do for any other snowboarder, which is something that i hope to see in the future.
Bottom line: I hope to meet less jerks both skiers and boarders, and more helpful positive people.
