your right. its just when i listen to a lot of their lyrics i get kind of a christian type feeling from it but they are straight edge and i have been to a couple shows before and its just all those little bitch straight edge kids that look and act like robots, so thats where i came up with the christian straight edge deal, but yes you are right

i love straight edge shows. lol. im not straight edge, but acting like a robot is fun from time to time... and i don't think being drunk and stupid is a good way to show respect to any band. if you can't have fun at a show without drinking.... there is something wrong, and you are clearly not there for the music.

norma jean and underoath, as well as others like stretch arm strong and figure four...representing solid state records quite nicely.

ps. ductapeboy, i think underoath was and is a great metal-core band, and from what ive heard from their new disc, they can sing too. its great to know that bands are talented in more than just screaming, and underoath proves it.

i agree that underoaths old stuff was pretty good. their second to last cd was really pretty good... i liked the way they brought a bit of emo influences into it... kinda made me think of grade... but the new one is just terrible. its completely unoriginal, and trendy. it sounds like every other emo band with some screaming in it. true every one of their cds has sounded different, and i have gotten to like them all, but this new one is just not my thing at all. maybe if i was a 15 year old girl with way too much eye makeup i would think they were cool... but im not.

you guys need to check out Subseven or Staple. those are some good bands there. I like Underoath alright, i saw them in Denver last spring and it was an average show...nothing special.
