Haha, my classes just got canceled monday. They send out text messages and stuff for "emergencies" and it says this:
"Students strongly urged to go home. Classes canceled Monday. Employees please report on normal schedules. Please see full bulletin."

latest track has it more east than the jersey path. so its still uncertain what exactly is going to go down. regardless, the storm is so big all of new england will be affected, it just isnt certain to what extent. surfing should be good sunday, then again the following thursday if your local winds are favorable.

Oh and he's not gonna jump to conclusions before he knows the path, strength and reach of the storm so you should shut the fuck up again.
Thirdly if you are taking advice from a skiing forum on how to prepare for a tropical storm then you have bigger problems than worrying what he means by "we're so fucked".

really? your first and third statements are contradictory. yes he studies meteorology. it's a fact. and he has more information than I do just watching the weather and reading the news. I would expect him to share this information, which he has been up until that comment.
and why wouldn't I take storm updates from him? especially since I can ask him questions tailored to me and where I live? not only that, but he knows where good sources are and which models are bogus. I don't. I also don't have time to sit around and watch the fucking weather channel. if I can ask a question, be on my way for a few hours, and come back to have him answer it, why not?

I'm not retarded, I can follow at least some of his jargon. I'm not condemning him to death, I just wanted more of an explanation.
