Nordica Zero's, how to center mount

So I know these are meant for center mounting, but how exactly do I do it? I never really understood the difference between true center and whatever the other center mount name was. But these are exactly symmetrical in terms of both sidecut and width, so should the center of the boot be in the exact center of the skis?

If it's relevant, they are 184's, and the bindings going on to them are rossi SAS2 140 ti's
 
Well I assume that since you are an idiot, you won't be mounting these yourself. So just go ahead and take them to your shop that is mounting them for you, and pay them to do it. They will know where to mount them.

And yes, a center mount is exactly as it sounds. In the center.
 
there is true center (geometric center - equal distance tip and tail) and core center (weight center - equal weight tip and tail), but on a symmetrical ski, true center and core center are the same thing.
 
i've heard stories of shops not understanding the difference, which is why i intend on being very specific when i tell them. and i don't get why you assume i am an idiot. i have no intention of mounting them myself. cool post though, awesome off base information.
 
thanks, thats kinda how i thought it worked in my mind but didn't wanna assume when it was concerning something like mounting my bindings. +k
 
I know, but that's the easiest way to explain it. It does depend on flex points and core density too.
 
Well I have heard the same stories, but I have NEVER heard of a shop fucking up a recommended mounting point, which is what the Zero has. Recommended at center, so it is pretty idiot-proof(save you, obviously).

Also, how is my information off base? You ask an idiotic question, and it warrants an idiotic response. Easy as that.

i think thats actually a picture of a burmese. i never knew till recently, but there is actually a difference between burmese mountain dogs and bernese mountain dogs.
 
thank you, finally somebody understands why i am going to write crap all over my skis to make it confusing for the guy, and then pump noxious gas into the building to make him feel disoriented.
 
Always mark your mounting point with a sharpie and ruler. Leave them a sticky note that says to use it. The less confusing for the tech, the better.

Bringing them beer as a THANK YOU and not as a bribe is also helpful. Ask they what they like when you drop the skis off.
