Thinking about getting them. I would get a 177, I am 5'8" and looking for a maneuverable powder ski that can still charge. Any opinions on them?

I can say that Nordica uses some good bases in most of their skis. Not for sure, but those could be with carbon and gallium.

In general Nordica pretty much kills it.

Just double checked. Those have the best bases. Awesome skis.

Sintered graphite gallium. Google gallium!

As an additive in glide wax for skiis, and other low friction surface materials. US 5069803, Sugimura, Kentaro; Shoji Hasimoto & Takayuki Ono, "Use of a synthetic resin composition containing gallium particles in the glide surfacing material of skis and other applications", issued 1995

Has anyone skied them? and how do they proform

Haven't rode them but I ski on Nordica (OMW)

Just like the core and base, the topsheets are quite durable, especially now that they beveled the corners to prevent chippin a little.

Carbon layer makes it snappy and strong, add pop

The patrons are the perfect width and I'd get some if they made something between 177 and 185.

5 lbs a ski is alright

Nordica make good skis that charge thru everything

My friend has a pair and they are incredible. They charge so hard and you don't feel out of control in the slightest, I immediately regretted my decision to buy JJ's after skiing the Patrons, such an awesome ski

Patrons fucking rip on any soft snow, extremely nimble for their size so they are a great east coast tree ski. I'm 6'2" and have the 185s. They aren't too great on anything groomed but good enough to get from the lift to the woods and back. Highly recommend them

Great to hear good reviews, they will be my east coast power and touring ski. Thinking of skiing them at tuckermans also. Will they handle that?

They will be a bit heavy to tour on depending on what binding you have, but yeah perfect east coast pow ski.

Probably getting guardians, but I care about the way down much more than the way up so I don't really care about weight

I rode patrons last season, definately one of the most versatile pow skis... They carve like a race ski but float with the best of them. They're super stable in the air and on landings, also surprisingly light... I got them expecting to use them soley as a pow ski, but ended up using them for everything that wasn't park... The only real issue I ever had with them was how blunt the tips are, they tend to spear bumps if you're charging them... They also have super soft tails that give them a very reachable speed limit. Because of those two flaws I'm switching to Jeffrey next season... But the patrons definitely kill it at everything that's not charging, if you want a more burly option check out the helldorados
