Okay, to start off: I'm well aware that the correct answer is to go to a boot fitter (I have) and I'm simply asking for a second opinion (not just a meaningless regurgitation of crap).

So I spend a majority of my week on the Fischer RC Vacuum 130 (pro), which is a wonderful boot for it's purpose... However as most race boots are, they are exceedingly harsh on your legs and are undesirable to ski any park with (you'd know if you rode them haha). I was wondering if the Ace three star would give me the drive and performance that I've grown accustom to, while also providing a more desirable experience for all day use in the park/all over the mountain. Also:

I'm 5'11 180lbs and ski extremely agressively

I'm coming off of a full tilt booter with 10 flex tongues and boosters that still didn't deliver.

Obviously I'll be keeping my Rc4's as my race boot and will probably still ski it half of my time.

Thank you.

do you still race?

also when i used to race i had the fischer vacuum 140 flex so i feel you lol.

but i have nordica boots now and i wouldn't ever (unless i found something better) switch to another boot i love mine! they are the right flex for all mountain and are also good for the park i personally would rather have a 100 or 110 flex in the park then a 70 or 80 flex and these boots are warm and super comfy, the 45 degree strap helps lock your heel in and overall they are a great boot! i use them all day everyday! and i dont just use them for park they are great for all mountain but not stiff enough imo for racing or some big mountain.

hope i helped! also i have a review of the ace 1 stars that i did on ns so if you have some more questions you could go look on there :)

Yes, I do still race. I'm definitely not planning on riding these in a course, maybe for a Long days practice, but mostly for skiing park on the weekends/ after practice. Thanks for the help. +K

I will put it this way to help you out quickly. If they fit your foot, you won't regret it... especially coming off *shivers* booters. Never seen a Nordica product let anyone down. Ever, including me.

I have the ace of spades which are same boots as the ace 3 star. They are unreal. Extremely comfortable and can ski all day with 0 issues. If you have already tried them and they fit your foot then no need saying this but they are more suited to average-wide feet as opposed to average-narrow feet.

In terms of performance, they will probably feel softer than any race boot. Their flex is progressive so when they say its 120, the flex starts at 100 and gets progressively stiffer the further you push them. For me, the flex is right in the sweet spot, but they won't feel nearly as stiff as a race boot, but fuck race boots. I am more of an all mountain shredder who loves to ski fast and make race style turns and these boots have been perfect.

Yeah man, not really looking for a race boot so that sounds perfect. They definitely fit my feet, I just wanted some people with extensive time on them to give me their opinion. Thanks +k

Im the same way as you OP...Im 160 and am very aggressive ex racer. I have found for me all mountain I settle in nicely to a 120 flex. Im not the heaviest so it works for me and still gives me a little bit of give but not enough that I cant go full out. Riding a twin is much different that driving a full out race ski
